Bought this model as it appeared (from the stock photos) to have the most industrial/sleek look and claimed to have the best specs over other models on Amazon. Unfortunately, the pictures on the listing were misleading as they portray a smooth body with a sleek front bezel when in reality you’re getting a very simple build quality (see images). I actually don’t mind the materials they used, I just find it funny they have to portray it as something that it’s not in the images.Overall, the product feels solid in the hand and functioned without issues. I was happy it came with more consumables than I’ll likely ever use.I cannot speak to the durability over time, but I used this to repair several cracks in my motorcycle fairings and it worked better than I could have hoped. I also ended up using my personal wire cutters as the ones provided don’t cut close enough to the material.

I ordered one of this plastic welding tool over a week ago and there was a problem with the delivery. Amazon sent me a message telling me there was a problem with the parcel and that they would be refunding me in the next 5 days, but I didn't ask for it. I was very disappointed, I needed this tool. But I saw that the item was still available on Amazon's site, so it wasn't a supply issue. So I ordered it again and finally received it two days later. I immediately repaired the grille of my car which was cracked. A friend of mine watching me was seduced by the potential of such a tool. I just ordered one for him. The 160 watt capacity, the 1200 staples included in the kit, and the other accessories are beyond my expectations for the price. More powerful than the average of similar devices but of different brands, it heats the staples to red very quickly. I am fully satisfied, and I completely endorse the quality of this kit.

I just repair the plastic drawer of the fridge that the base was brokeny 4 pieces, and it work.

It heats up fast but will shut off after a few minutes.You have to let it sit and cool off before it starts working again

So many broken things can now be repaired! I won't lie, you aren't going to make it look like new with this welder, but you should be able to at least get it structurally sound again. If you want to make it look like new though you'll need to learn and use some other tools and techniques. It gets hot plenty fast and goes through most household plastics like butter, so definitely practice!

There is a learning curve to plastic welding. I decided to practice using this WRDLOSY Plastic Welder on an old plastic laundry basket that had several cracks. I didn’t care what the final outcome looked like. I just wanted to learn, before trying to repair anything that needs to look good. I discovered that the welder heats up really fast. In 3 seconds a hot staple goes completely through a laundry basket, making a hole. I did that several times. Then I decided to just use the trowel attachment to smooth the plastic into the cracks. They looked pretty good, but the next day, when I used the basket, the welds didn’t hold. It needed the staples. I finally decided to hold the staple (in the welder) against the crack, pull the trigger for a count of 2, then release the trigger, while holding the staple in place, continuing to count to 12. The plastic cools enough to hold the staple in place and it can be released from the welder. I wore a leather glove on the hand that I added the staples to the welder with, so I didn’t get burned. I was able to add several staples. The wire cutter, included, did not cut the staples flush with the plastic. I found that bending them with my thumb, broke them off close to the plastic. I melted some of the included black plastic strips to cover the staples, which looked bad against the white. Then I used the included knife, to cut some white plastic, from under the edge of the basket, and melted it over the staples and crack. Finally I used a piece of fine sandpaper to smooth the plastic. It’s not pretty, but it is holding up. Also, I discovered really fast that a respirator should be worn, because melting plastic is very toxic. Also, it should be used in a well ventilated place, like outdoors. I like this WRDLOSY Plastic Welder and will continue using it. I’m just waiting for the respirator that I ordered.

This plastic welder has to be the best thing I have found out there that made fixing my bumper super easy. It also works really good on welding the corners of plastic pictures frames.

It’s a great product and like anything else it just takes time to learn to use it and when to pull away from the “weld” but once you get the hang of it it’s very handy and useful around the house
