Works with car play! I was struggling to find a cable which held a steady connection to Apple car play and had tried quite a few ‘cheap n cheerful’ versions. Gave up in the end and spent a few more quid on this one and it’s perfect! It looks tidier too!

I often need to charge my phone in car, due to driving long distances for work. There’s nothing worse than having long charging cables trailing around in the car, so this item seemed like a good solution.The cable feels robust. Both charging ends are well concealed, and don’t feel like they will snap, or bend easily. The ‘coil’ stretches out quite far, should you need it to, and this doesn’t actually make the cable any slacker - I found that it retracted back to its original shape very well.The cable is fully compatible with my car and my phone, and I have found that it charges my phone reasonably quickly, my old cable was much slower. The built in light is useful and does work well in the dark.I’m very happy with the space saving aspect of this cable, and it does look so much neater in my car. Also, no worries about it wrapping around anything that it shouldn’t.

My car isn’t Apple CarPlay compatible, so I cannot review this feature, but as a general USB phone charger, it does a good enough job.I don’t find it particularly fast charging, but then my journeys tend to be relatively short. My phone only gained a couple of % charge on the almost 10 minute nursery pickup (one way).The coiled cable is useful, but it does want to pull back into its natural state. I also find it a bit bulky. I used the USB in the middle arm rest/storage between the front seats. The coiled cable was a bit unruly and didn’t want to stay where I put it when trying to close the lid!It’s manufactured well and looks like it’ll last, so my rating might seem a little harsh, but the item just doesn’t work brilliantly in my car.

This is quite good coiled cable. No complaints so far from my daughter who took this with her to uni.The lightning connection tip has an LED light on it, which is a plus since you can instantly see if the device is getting power.The coiled cable looks really classy and the most important bit - it charges iPad Pro without any issues.

Got this for use in the car, as I was sick and tired of a long white lightening cable hanging loose from the centre console. The cable itself is very well made and hold its shape but offers great extra stretch when needed; it works brilliantly with my iPhone and also being black, it is much more discreet than the standard white cables that Apple provide. Highly recommended and great value for money.

Description claims it works with Apple CarPlay but it doesn’t fit snuggly and only works when you hold it at an angle, bit the bullet and bought a genuine cable and it works perfectly.

Perfect for the car. Because it’s coiled the cord does not get in the way.
