Good value, great for lightweight adventure
This is a really good backpack with nice quality and it's very lightweight, which is super helpful. However, it's a high capacity backpack with mid-capacity shoulder strap padding. When this thing is fully loaded, you'll find your shoulders not so happy with the meager padding. Also, the top handle is strong but thin, and when travelling sometimes it's necessary to carry it by that strap, and that's not comfortable at all. It's also a bit too small to put a grip handle over it to make it useful. So, with a couple minor tweaks, EB could turn this into a 5-star backpack.Note: since it is super lightweight, it's very thin (but strong) material so won't stand upright - it needs to lay down flat. A trade-off with very light weight packs, but I think in this case, it's a good choice.

Lots of pockets and great space
It was a present for my son, and he just loves this backpack. Says it holds a lot of stuff and has lots of room and pockets.

High quality with lots of room.
I like this backpacks layout. It holds 2 laptops and cables with room to spare. My one dislike is the chest strap.Comes off with a snap and gets caught easily.

Seems fine for $70 sale price
Update: After only 4mo of daily use, the exterior of this bag has lost its rigidity. It now has the appearance of a saggy, well-worn old shirt, and will no longer sit upright at all. Even the flaps of the two small exterior pockets have curled up. My guess is the bag had been sprayed with a DWR chemical, or some type of garment starch that has now worn off. Very disappointing.I would not recommend this bag at its full price, which is north of $100. There are way better options out there for that price point.Pros:Ample storage (29L).Decent zippers.Red interior lining is nice and works as a visual cue that the bag is open.Claims to be water resistant, which was a primary concern as I carry a small laptop.Cons:Light-duty construction. No scuff protection on the bottom surface.Shoulder pads are cut at odd angles that don't lend themselves well for the bag being carried as a sling.Tends to flop over frontwards when sat on a flat surface.I specifically purchased this bag to carry in and out of my work, which it's more than adequate for. I would not recommend it for anything beyond that--like actual hiking or to be used as luggage.

Great quality and utility
This is the backpack to take for travel or camping. If you carry a lot of stuff, it could be a daily driver, but it feels a bit empty if you just have a laptop, notebook, and water bottle in it. It's better suited with some clothes and other supplies to fill it up.I would say it's subtle, except the molle straps everywhere do present a tactical image. There are compartments everywhere, and straps on almost every surface. The interior lining takes a sophisticated turn - instead of the high-vis orange that lines a lot of tactical packs, it's more of a tomato bisque color. Still plenty of contrast to see and ID items in the various pouches, but not an eye-blasting orange. The side access to the laptop compartment is a nice feature too, making it easy to use that pocket with a loaded pack. All the fabric and stitching feels high quality, consistent with the brand. I like that the main compartment has a bigger, sturdier zipper than the secondary zippers. Since this is where I've had backpacks fail before, it feels like this one is made to last. The straps are comfortable and the chest strap can be moved vertically or removed completely for what is most comfortable. The grab loop is a little utilitarian as a simple strap, but it matches with the look of the pack and works just fine for grabbing or hanging the pack. It's like a middle ground pack for the modern world. It's maybe a bit too rugged and large for the office, but not as rugged as an actual tactical backpack. But it's far more suitable for travel than taking my glorified laptop bag and trying to stuff in a couple of changes of clothes for a weekend trip. So now I can have the proper bag for such an occasion. It is equally suited to a few days of car camping or fully strapping in with waist and chest straps to hustle across a large airport to make a tight connection. It would be great to fill with swag at a tech convention, too. It's not a low priced backpack but the quality is there to back it up. Compare it to actual tactical packs and it's a bargain - though it's not suited for that kind of use either. As a durable, ruggedish travel pack, it seems like a good buy.
