A great piece of kit, at a decent price; would recommend.
What a great price; I have wanted one of these 'pure sine wave inverters' for a while, and jumped at the chance when I saw this one on Amazon. The unit is light and portable, fast charging my laptop and phone, it was easy to plug into the supply in the car, the old cigarette fitting, or similar. It does create a slight humming noise when in use, but nothing too annoying. A green light is visible when it is in use, and thankfully it doesn't interfere with the car's electrics. A decent length of cable so can be placed on, or below the passenger seat. I've used several times now and the unit appears to be safe, and reliable. A great piece of kit, at a decent price; would recommend.

Price and performance
Fantastic power inverter, works great in 12 volt or plugged in, would highly recommend.

Good value. Portable. Does the job.
Bought this product to work with small solar system charging battery connected to inverter. Primarily for charging laptop, mobile phones. Tested with charged battery alone, and tested with solar panel connected to battery to inverter to laptop and household bedside lamp. All worked a treat. 300 watt inverter more than enough. The Bestek Inverter is light and portable and easy to connect with its car cigarette lighter type fitting. Laptop charging time to full charge about the same time as on direct mains electric. Working hum of inverter sound noticeable but not constant. Power on green indicator of inverter turns red if there is a problem. Opted for the pure sine wave, costlier than modified wave, as noted interference on mobile phone when charging direct through battery charger and didn't want to risk electrical interference on laptop. Can confirm zero electrical disturbance with this pure sine wave inverter. For the price, and purpose, and ease in use, can't fault it.

Works well but noisy cooling fan
I bought this to power a small TV in a campervan, which it does with ease. However, the small cooling fan that exhausts air from the end of the unit was making quite a din - easily audible above the TV and quite irritating. To fix this I replaced the original 12V fan with a Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX from Amazon (ASIN B071J8CZP9). The inverter is now so quiet that I initially thought the new fan wasn't working - but on close inspection it was happily spinning away. BTW, I do realise that I've invalidated the warranty - but for the cost I felt it was worth taking a small risk that it might break down in the near future.

Excellent and to specifications
Revuew for bestek 300w pure sine wave inverter. So far excellent, plugged in and switched off no draw and switched on with no load 6w. Fan is quiet and it delivers its stayed power without problem or getting hot. Power is clean and tv / radio and pc no problems. This is for devices up to and including 300w continuous.

Received defective
It never worked in any type of load. Connected an USB charger (with no load) which should draw not more than 50W. It worked for 10-15 seconds but during this time there were all sorts of crackling noises coming from it. It felt like is going to burn down. Then it shut down. Tried various loads with less than 100W but none worked the same behaviour. Sent it back for return straight away.

Noisy
Works fine and seems well made, but really noisy. Has a cooling fan that is on the whole time. I'd have returned it but I'd removed the cigarette lighter plug and put some croc clips on before trying it! Idiot! As I say it works fine but don't buy if you have to live near where it's running.

Good inverter but noisy fan when used indoors
I am pleased overall with this inverter. I use it on a home built solar panel/battery power supply. I have removed the screws that hold the fan in place and that has helped to have it running a bit quieter. The fan is still doing its job properly, its just not reverberating in the case as it used to be. when it was hard fixed. I have not run the inverter to its capacity limit, but find that when I plug some mains equipment which normally run at power below 20 watts, the initial surge causes the inverter to trip and the red light shows until I turn the inverter off and back on again. I'm talking about plugging in a laptop charger or a 20 watt TV. So I can't really rely on this inverter to just work on some of the things I wanted to use it on, without having to reset it on the odd initial surges from some devices. The inverter has now been demoted to power garage lights only. It appears to have a standby running current of about half an amp when not supplying mains electricity to equipment.
