McFarlane Toys - DC Multiverse Carapax (Blue Beetle Movie) Mega Figure

I only got this guy to have posed against blue beetle but I gotta admit, I'm very impressed by him as a standalone figure. Lots of articulation in the arms and legs that make him great for posing. Well worth the money and a dang good megafig.

The movie was mostly panned, but I liked it. This version of Carapax is more Japanese mecha than the original comic book design. If you can get it at a good price you can just admire the design. I am intrigued about the use of softer plastic for the chest piece. This design is also used in the Blue Beetle figure and some Figma manikins. Cool how the engineering of these toys is advancing.

When I saw the Blue Beetle I fell in love with Carapax as a character. He actually made me cry by the time I was done watching the film. I knew I wanted to get an action figure of him after I saw the film. This figure was one of the first, and one of the best options I found. When he came in, I was surprised by just how big he and his box were. Some of his joints were rather stiff at first, but once I started moving them some, they loosened up. He looks really nice overall. My only major complaint is that I wish he came with more accessories, such as blasters or an unmasked head. Overall I think he is a pretty good figure, that looks accurate to his source material. I do think he is a bit overpriced though, given his lack of accessories. I would highly recommend him, so long as you can find him on sale.

No defects, has a good weight to it. Great colors. And I got it on sale too! One of my favorite figures for sure.

I purchased this toy for my son and it is amazing quality. It is heavy, durable and not easy to break. So if you have a destructive boy like I do this toy is going to hold up!!

This figure looks great. It's balanced well also. With two support stands, I can actually make him fly. He's pretty heavy.That said, it arrived broken. For resolution, I was directed to the manufacturer... and Mcfarlane said that since I didn't order it from them, they weren't going to do anything.The broken piece is one of his large back fins. It was completely broken. I actually fixed it myself since that's all I could do. But it doesn't look great.Order directly from the store.
