Looking at this book on its face and it’s easy to see how it can feel like a good beginners entry into the idea of chat gpt and prompt engineering, however much like a freshman student struggling to meet page length, it repeats itself so often and fluffs up its own content with superfluous sentences, an experienced chat-gpt user might start to see some uncanny similarities between the voice of the author and the artificial voice of chat gpt. While I’m not making any direct accusations I feel as though I walked away with no more of an understanding of what makes an effective prompt nor what effective prompts actually look like or the difference in output between a good and bad prompt. Feels like if you turned the chapters into prompts and fed them into chat gpt, you might receive similar data. For me the expertise and explicit examples just aren’t there.

I don't use chatGPT for much but I love to use it to help me to write inspirational cards or quick biographies and this book is a good beginners guide to that while also getting into some more complex prompt engineering.
