Awesome vacuum cleaner!
Top shelf Shark quality. This vacuum picks up everything in it's path. Very strong suction and easy to maneuver in spite of it being somewhat heavy. The LED's light the way to help you see everything that needs to be vacuumed up. Been buying Shark vacuums for many years and this is the best one yet.

Zero effort to use in vacuum
This vacuum literally pulls itself. Very little work involved. I like the old vacuum where you get a push like you're moving in a rock. The same picks up a lot of dirt. The fine stuff highly recommended

Amazing
This is hands down the best vacuum I've ever owned! I've had Shark vacuums for several years now, because I like the performance and how intuitively they are designed. This one is a little heavier than my previous model, but it has noticeably more power - and I think that's worth the extra weight. The attachments I had from my old one fit this new model. It has all the usual Shark features, including the lift away and the duo clean, which I love for a house with multiple levels and a few different floorings. It even has little details that end up making a big impact, like a little rubbery coating around the edge of the hose nozzle so someone like me doesn't make marks when I inevitably bang it too hard against the floor boards. I don't know who thought of that tiny detail, but it's brilliant! Also, this is the only vacuum I've ever had that truly, absolutely DOES NOT get hair tangled around the roller!! Maybe it's the new design with the fins instead of traditional bristles, but whatever the reason, it's miraculous! There are three people with long hair in my house, and I have not once had to cut long strands of hair that got wrapped around the roller. Never. Incredible!

Dream Clean
If you want a vacuum that will get every nook and cranny and your love language is seeing the clean, well then this is your vacuum. Yes it is worth the price. I had one for almost 5 years and it died and I frantically looked to see if I could find something close. This was a new and improved version. As if it could be made any better. Yes I do get excited about a good vacuum. Spend tons of money on things that clog, die in less than 2 years, parts break off. So yes I highly recommend this. It is multifunctional and you can take the canister of to run the vacuum under hard to reach places. Easy to clean not only the canister but if you need to clean anything off the roller.

Don't do it
First of all, I am/was a very loyal Shark fan. I've had several, my older model Shark vacuum is 10 years old, still works but doesn't have as much suction as it used to. After much consideration, because in this economy, $300-$400 for a vacuum is crazy. I finally gave in and purchased this newer version. I absolutely despise this vacuum with every fiber of my being. I bought it in October. I've attempted to use it 3 times and just end up bringing my older one out. The newer version has 3 settings for floors. Bare, medium and high pile. If you have any kind of rug, ANY kind, big, small, doesn't matter and doesn't matter what setting you use, the vacuum will not go over the rug. I have everything from a 12x15 in my livingroom to smaller 6x9 and 2x3, etc...no setting works on any of them. Also, if this vacuum ever does get stopped up at the floor level where the dirt initially goes in, you're out of luck because it does not come apart. My older one had the snap off cover for easy access. If I could return this, I absolutely would. I tried to keep it thinking it would grow on me but all it does it makes me mad every time I try to use it. So now my $400 vacuum will sit in a closet and I'm off to buy a different brand as I'm giving up on Sharks for awhile.

A bit heavy but good suction
My shark corded stick vacuum finally died, and since shark doesn't do replacement parts easily, I ordered a new vacuum instead. I did a lot of research deciding if I want to stick with shark versus try bissel, eureka, or splurge on Dyson. Ultimately decided I want a corded vacuum until batteries get lighter/longer lasting, and I want an upright vacuum instead of another stick vacuum as uprights are supposed to agitate carpet better (sticks are better for light cleaning). Finally decided to give this a try. It has 3 settings for hardwood, low pile, and high pile carpet, which is really nice. The first vacuum to work on my long shag rug without a problem. The tradeoff is that it changes suction power by letting some air out, so it can blow away nearby papers and get louder on certain settings. It cleans up against walls well and fits under couches and tables amazingly if you separate the canister from the stick, but the canister is a little heavy to hold. Sometimes I just leave it on the floor while I push around the stick, which is motorized (really nice). It easily holds its own attachments and converts into a wand easily. The cord technically has a holder to keep it up off the ground but it falls out so I end up just holding the cord in one hand while pushing the vacuum with the other. Another reviewer mentioned theirs burning out - I've had mine 3 months without problem. I wonder if burn out happens when using the wrong setting (like hardwood setting on hole pile, which would stress the engine). Something to look out for.

Absolute garbage stay far, far away
This specific Shark model was on sale for $70 off and was the unit I bought. It's hard to determine the actual advantages of one model over another, so even though I read the specs on a lot of them, I still wasn't sure what to buy. So this unit. It ships very well packed. Shark gets points for packaging. Most of it was recyclable. The vacuum itself is easy to assemble. The parts snap together. What are the pros of this? It has good suction. And I've found it works better on my thick Karastan carpet - better than the old NV352 I discarded. It also has a long cord so you don't have to keep moving to a different plug. As with the other Shark products, the vacuum unit detaches for working on high areas. The hose on this specific unit is much easier to deal with than the 352, which was like pulling teeth to stretch it out. The head unit is also easy to maneuver into tight spots, which makes cleaning a lot easier. The unit also has a no-hair rolled to prevent long hair from fouling the brush. That's nice, especially if you have lots of long hair falling out all over the place. The noise is loud, but it isn't irritating. It's in the lower range so not terribly obnoxious. It's always amazing just how much dirt is on my carpets. I have to vacuum at least 2 days per week, usually 3 or 4. It's also satisfying to see all of the mess it picks up. The vacuum has an extraordinarily long 5 year warranty - keep your receipt and all documentation. The unit has three different pile-height settings. There is a bare floor setting and a high and low pile setting. The bare floor setting works great, which is not always the case. There is also a 5 LED light bar which I have found very useful for identifying cat litter. The cons. This unit is HEAVY. About 14 or 15 pounds, so it requires strength to move it. As it has three rollers (brushes) you need to select the right carpet setting. If you don't you will find yourself having to force the vacuum along the carpet. The other issue is that the head is crazy flexible, so if you are trying to vacuum straight ahead, you will be constantly fighting to keep it straight. The last 'con' is that the dust collection bin is small. This just means you have to empty it more often, and that might be something that pushes a buyer away. So far, these issues aside, it's working for the purpose intended.

Solid vacuum cleaner
This is a solid vacuum cleaner. Although it's a little heavy, it's powerful. Not having a bag is a bonus. My only complaint is with AMZ, and not Shark. Mine arrived defective, as the power switch wasn't working. I wanted to do an exchange, but AMZ doesn't let you do that. You have to return it, and buy another one. In my case it was $75 more to purchase it again! Luckily Shark has good customer service, and they sent me the defective part for free after talking with their customer service. I can't imagine any brick and mortar store charging you more money to replace a defective item the sold.
