Nail Buffing Kit : Leather Buffer ( Polisher ) and Powder

This kit is very easy to use and a shine is achieved in no time at all, unlike with other kits I’ve tried over the years. This kit is excellent.

This is very effective. The picture shows my nails after buffing - no nail polish at all, these are my bare nails. The buffer itself is very good quality chamois, well built, and attractive, 12cm long. The nail powder is messy, though. I ended up decanting it into a bigger pot to make it easier to use and handle. The powder is packed down very tightly in the small tub. This will last a very long time - you only need a very small amount of powder rubbed onto the buffer in order to do both hands.How to use: I used the back end of a pair of tweezers to put a very small mound of powder on the buffer. Lightly rubbed the powder into the chamois. Used light pressure on each nail in a criss-cross about 10 times. Don't press too hard. Don't let the nail start to feel hot either. Do your nail edge as well - it helps prevent splitting. Wash hands after and just buff your nails quickly on the drying towel. Run the nail pencil underneath the nail tip if you want (I didn't do that in the pic).Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the nail pencil too. Is it worth £18? I think so. I have been looking for a replacement for Nailoid's carnate cream for a long time. This was a punt, frankly, and I didn't have high hopes for the powder, and I bought it mainly because the buffer looked like good quality (which it is). But the powder gives you that same 'squeak'' across your nails that Nailoid used to do, and leaves that same powdery residue on your nail in a thin line that carnate cream used to do too (except it's white, not pink). The shine is outstanding. I think if you smoothed the ridges of your nails with a 3-way or 4-way first, and then continued to use this buffer and powder daily, it will keep the nail surface smooth.There is no ingredient list on the powder tub, the cardboard tube, or on the leaflet that comes with the kit.

A very efficient product delivered very fast.

The nail buffer is good but the powder is difficult to use as it doesn't adhere to the buffer and goes all over the place! I finally managed to get it to 'stick' a bit by damping the buffer. The results were ......ok...ish but not a patch on the buffing paste of a few years past.

Powder contains parabéns - not clear from product description on website. Otherwise works well esp the buffer!( The kit was bought for my wife - her assessment then, not mine!)

Ich wollte nicht mehr ständig Nagellack auftragen und habe mich nach Nagelpoliern ungesehen. Die Standardpolierer nehmen in der Regel relativ viel von der Nagelplatte weg, was zur Folge hat, dass der Nagel immer dünner und unstabiler wird, weil der Glanz eben nicht so lang anhaltend ist. Das Polieren an sich entfernt auch die obere Schutzschicht des Nagels, so dass Feuchtigkeit eindringen kannDieses Set poliert die Nägel jedoch auf Hochglanz der auch wirklich ausdauernd ist (Desinfektionsmittel, geputzt, Hausarbeit etc hat er gut überlebt, wo ein Nagellack schon längst abgesplittert wäre). Das Wildlederkissen fühlt sich auch "schonender" an als eine normale Polierfeile und der Nagel wird allenfalls etwas warm. Hinterher fühlt sich die Nageloberfläche an, als ob eine dünne Lackschicht aufgetragen worden wäre, angeblich soll sich ja das Pulver mit dem Nagel verbinden und nicht Nagelmaterial abtragen.Der Poliervorgang an sich dauert etwa 15 Minuten, man kann zwischendurch auch mal mit dem Kissen über die Nägel gehen. Wichtig ist, die Nagelhaut dazu auch gut zu pflegen, mit einem Öl oder Wachs, damit wirklich alles hübsch ist.Ob das Pulver die Nägel langfristig stärkt kann ich nicht sagen, das wird die Zeit zeigen. Ich trage meine Nägel aber auch relativ kurz, sodaß ich nicht wirklich Probleme mit abbrechenden Nägeln habe.Als Tipp für das Problem mit dem etwas schwierig aufzutragendem Pulver: Das Pulver in eine größere Dose geben (zB eine leere Cremedose) und dann mit einem Spatel, einem Rosenhölzchen o.ä. entnehmen. Eine andere Idee wäre, das Pulver in einer Dose aufzubewahren, die innen einen gelochten Streuaufsatz hat (zB von losem Puder) oder einen kleinen Gewürzstreuer mit Deckel.Als Fazit gebe ich eine klare Kaufempfehlung, das Pulver ist sehr ergiebig und wird ewig halten und das Polster macht auch einen langlebigen Eindruck. Mit dem zusätzlichem Weißstift werden sehen die Nägel immer ordentlich und gepflegt aus, ohne dass man splitternden Lack und stinkigen, austrocknenden Entferner benötigt. Das Set ist sein Geld auf jeden Fall wert.

Mit dem klassischen Polierschiffchen und dem Pulver kann ich meine Naturnägel glänzend machen. Glatter werden meine stark gerillten Nägel dadurch zwar nicht, aber das ist auch nicht der Sinn der Sache. Der Glanz hält ca. drei Tage, der Poliervorgang dauert weniger als zwei Minuten. Am wichtigsten ist für mich, dass das Polierpulver den Nägeln nicht schadet, im Gegensatz zu einigen anderen Polierwerkzeugen, die auf ein Abschleifen setzen.Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für die Verpackung des Pulvers, die schon seeehr unhandlich ist. Andere Hersteller, etwa KYX, liefern das Pulver in einem Röhrchen mit Mini-Öffnung (aber auch deutlich weniger Produkt als man hier erhält).

Es zaubert im Handumdrehen gepflegte, glänzende und stärkere Nägel. Das Glanzpuder schützt meine Nägel super. Der Polierer fördert die Durchblutung und das Wachstum meiner Nägel, und mit dem Nagelweiß-Stift bekomme ich blitzschnell einen perfekten French Look. Einfach toll!
