Vibrant
I used these paints to change the color of my chalk. They mixed well & didn't make my chalk hard. The colors are vibrant & they paint well on canvas too.

Brightly Colored Paints
These water colors are very vibrant. We got the package with six colors in the box, but we quickly wished we had more colors - so we tried mixing them. They blend very well and we were able to make a few more color variation, such as a regular red and a brown. They also offer a 12 pack of paints that give you other colors that would be difficult to create by blending them.We made some easter art and also used them to color easter eggs. They color was great and way more bold than the egg dyes. They did take a while to dry on the egg shell and would run a little, especially if we didn't dry the brushes after rinsing them. But that can be expected because they are watercolors and eggshells are not very absorbent - if they were you'd put them in your kitty litter box. Anyways, the paints are great and we enjoy using them.

Streaky, Too much binder, does not behave so much as watercolors as they do tempera
Art POP! Presents their six neon color set as: “Liquid Watercolor”,..”Premium”.I respectfully disagree. The pigments are mulled with far too much binder, perhaps glycerin, to behave like any watercolors that I would agree to the description “premium”.These are not cheap paints. The real problem, in my opinion, is that they are advertised as premium watercolors, when, in fact, they behave like elementary ed tempera paints, or a low grade gouache. By that, I mean those that I received are streaky, which again, I associate with cheap gouache and elementary school tempera. In my opinion, Art POP! should change their advertising to “water based neon tempera”. If they want to be watercolors, then I think they should change how they mull their paints, as in ratio of binder to pigment. In this way, the colors wouldn’t be so streaky, and might behave more like watercolors. Actually, I don’t know what pigments are used to make neon paints, or if they are mulled the same way. But something here should be tweaked. Neon colors are a lot of fun for some of us as artists, you can get some really beautiful, surprising effects upon exploration.Maybe I just wound up with a bad batch, who knows? There were a few containers in my set that had their safety caps unsealed and the paints looked used.I’ll investigate further, and come back to update my review if I discover anything else.

Not typical watercolor
These watercolors are interesting, but not easy to work with. They take some effort to mix with water, but lose a lot of their neon intensity when used with water. When you use them without mixing they are more intense, but streaky. I did a lot of experimenting with them and I found that they worked best with my water-filled brush pens. It seemed to be the best way to control the amount of water that mixed with the color to get the right consistency. They still needed a bit more work on the page than most watercolors do.I also experimented with using them on black paper. Initially they didn't seem to show, but they began to stand out as they dried. I did use two layers to get a brighter color. They look kind of chalky on the page without being smudgy like chalk. This could be an interesting application.

Very saturated neons! Don’t hesitate
The media could not be loaded. So bright and bold NEON! This is such a fun set of colors, I really appreciate a good neon yellow that isn’t so pale that it disappears. These neon water colors are very very saturated. I love them! The consistency is great for all skill levels to work with, I'd say it is even easier for kids to use this liquid type of watercolor paint than the hard/dry palette kind where they have to maintain the right flow of water to achieve color saturation. I’m definitely impressed with this set of colors and would highly recommend.I swatched all the colors the first time using them, check out my video and see how bright they are. Hope this helps!

Liquid watercolor
These are completely disappointing. One of the bottles leaked inside the box. No huge deal. The little seal inside the bottle came loose from the rim of the bottle and was stuck to the top lid. I had to use a paintbrush to push the seal out so I could remove it to squeeze out paint. The colors themselves are bright and vivid, but these is not perform like liquid watercolors to me. They were sticky, a little syrupy almost, and when applied to the paper you could see bits of pigment in the colors. The colors do not lay down smoothly and uniformly. They feel extremely cheap. They could almost pass as really watered down acrylic paints. I got a couple of nice mixes between the colors, but they all lay down very streaky. It was hard to get a smooth block of color. I would never use these for any sort of professional or semi professional purpose. If you want to give your kids some neon paint, this could be fun to use to mess around with.

Fun colors to paint with.
These came well packed. Nothing leaked. I'm using these neon watercolors on rocks. It almost gives a faded, tye dye effect. So fun. They will be used often. My grandkids like to paint on paper and these colors are neon and easy wash up. I highly recommend these paints to try something new. I would buy again and as a gift.

High quality Neon Watercolor
It can be difficult to find some specific colors in certain art medium types. Bright neon colors aren't typically offered as watercolors. So when I saw these pigments offered by ArtPop - I was a bit hesitant. However, the paint is high quality - they dry bright and true, and are easy to work with (still watercolors). Very beautiful finished effect. Highly recommended: 5-stars!
