Very happy with the purchase. I wondered if 0.05 mm would be too fine, but it turned out that it was just what I needed. The ink flow is perfect, and it dries very quickly, so it doesn't smear after drawing a line with a ruler. In the photo, all of the annotations are done with the Staedtler 0.05 mm, and all the other lines are drawn with ballpoint pens. The annotations need to be drawn with a 0.05 mm pen. When I look at the lines, I can't tell a big difference, but drafting with a ballpoint pen is pretty frustrating, and the pen really doesn't have good control at all.

I got these for drawing fantasy hex and graph paper maps but soon found myself using them for everything. Super precise and being left handed the ink hasn't smudged as I write with them.

These pens write beautifully. The quality is very good and they do not dry out easily. On the back of the package it says these are permanent markers. However I did my own test. After making lines on dry watercolor paper and allowing it to dry thoroughly, it still smeared when touched with a wet brush. For some uses, this probably isn’t a concern, however, because I want to use them on watercolor paintings, they don’t work for me. I am keeping them to use for other projects because they are such nice markers.

Just what I was looking for. The write and draw smooth. The ink cries quickly and does not smear.

One pen had no ink. One had a little. All I could figure is perhaps they sat in warehouse too long. I often use this brand but will probably shop in a store from now on.

That anything can survive against the megalith that is Sakura is amazing enough, but the fact that they are potentially even better is astounding. I love the 0.05 pen with all my blackened heart.

I was a little bummed that there wasn't a chisel tip liner in the pack because that's an amazing tool but I'm still happy with these as a Pigma Micron alternative. The tips hold up pretty good and the ink is a rich black like the Uni brand or Copic liners. Still wish they included the chisel though.

these dried out immediately. maybe i got a bad batch.
