At first I had a problem with the wired ethernet port speed. It was topping out around 10 meg, and my other NUCs were doing 200 or better. It took some investigation to fix this one, I had to reload the Ethernet driver. Once it came back up it took off flying. I was very pleased! NUC has always had good support and downloads are easy! I have had probably 5 of these little NUC machines over the years, never had a failure with the hardware. I maxed out the memory, and added two internal drives! I also love the cmos setup menus and ASUS is maintaining this quality now too as Intel passed this off to them recently.

This is the 4th mini-PC I ordered in the past 2 months. It is a keeper. Here is my story....First order. It is a generic mini-PC with a Intel processor. Nice spec. Attractive price. Unfortunately, it had issues with the wi-fi NIC right out of the box. Contacted the vendor and returned.Second order. Replacement of the first one. Same machine. Issue #1: BSOD when plug in a Thunderbolt drive in the USB4 port hot. Issue #2: The CPU runs hot and yet the case feels cool. Sign of bad thermal management. Returned to vendor.Third order. A NUC13 i7 with 1TB drive. I ordered this one thinking I can upgrade the 1TB NVME drive to a 2TB drive. It turned out to be a mess. I created an image of the 1TB drive with Macrium Reflect and restore the image to a 2TB drive. There are two problems. Macrium did not expand the system drive (C:) to take up the extra disk space. The new drive did boot up okay. However, I cannot launch any management apps like "Computer Management". It gives a funny error message that nobody (even the gurus I contacted) understand: "The external backing provider is not recognized". Returned to vendor and ordered one with a 2TB drive. At the time, I did not know what the problem was until later. .... Read on.Fourth Order. A NUC 13 i7 (64GB RAM, 2TB drive) from MySmallPC. The first thing I did was to create a clone system drive with Macrium Reflect. This time around, everything worked as expected. During the restore process from the image (to the same drive I used for the third mini-PC), Macrium Reflect notified me that I was messing with a bitlocker enabled drive! AH_HA! That was it! The cloning process did not work with the last NUC because the drive was bitlocker encrypted.A note to PC vendors: PLEASE DO NOT ENCRYPT THE SYSTEM DRIVE WITH BITLOCKER. LET THE CUSTOMERS DO THAT IF THEY PREFER.BTW, this NUC works as expected. No BSOD. Thermal management is great. Happy with it.

I needed another computer for my Zoom room and I decided to upgrade from my NUC12. I like these NUCS because of the two HDMI ports and 2 thunderbolt 4. Overall it's a pretty solid computer and the i7 CPU is super fast that can handle everything I throw at it.
