Non-Verbal Reasoning 3D Aid- 11 plus Magnetic Cube Net CEM

Brilliant Tool for the Cube Nets questions on Non Verbal Reasoning in the 11+ - my boys were fearful when it came to this section , but now thanks to this ingenious idea , they are actually enjoying it.Basically 6 magnetic squares ( with borders in 3 different colours ) which can be made into a cube then laid flat to see which sides are opposite and adjacent. The sides have dry wipe surfaces so can draw patterns to emulate the question.Initially I balked at the price , but seeing how helpful it has been , I would buy it again and have recommended it to other parents.Would probably be a useful tool for psychometric tests as well.

Really helped my son by visualising the problem that needed solving. Easy to use.

As a one to one tutor , I used this yesterday with an 8 year old to help her with these type of non verbal reasoning questions . She reviewed it as a cool idea and liked the write on , wipe off surfaces , but felt that it was too big for her to manipulate effectively and would have preferred a smaller version .

Excellent product for those finding 3D visualisation of cubes and nets in the 11+ exam tricky. Much more convenient and less time consuming than cutting out loads of nets when trying to visualise and saves on paper too.Different coloured pairs of magnetic cube make patterns of net faces and opposing sides of the corresponding cube easy to spot.

Very much disappointed with this product. The faces of the cube are sticking but you can not make the cube as they fall apart. Real waste of money.

As a teacher this product is has been really useful for the children in my class who have difficulty visualising patterns and questions that require spacial awareness/imagination. The helpsheet is great for a starting point and has allowed the children to try out different patterns on the cube. The best part of this product is how interchangeable it is. I can use it for a number of different activities (you can put numbers/ maths sums/ spellings on each square) because of the handy dry wipe pens and rubber. Definitely recommend.

Brilliant! Having trouble with the NVR net questions and this has really helped. Recommend for anyone who finds these cube questions challenging as reinforceshow the cube can be formed from all the possible nets which are detailed on the help sheet.I was using card nets before so really like the fact that I can use the dry wipe marker and then just wipe off!
