The Kraken Counter Top Vanity Unit is handmade from edge banded, spruce scaffold board which is mounted on 4 heavy duty scaffold legs. The adjustable storage shelf and towel rail are secured with hex key grub screws allowing for rapid assembly with the supplied key. No two boards are alike and are variously distressed, weathered, gnarled, twisted, cupped, scratched, cracked, dented, holed and paint stained. Wax is applied to preserve and enhance the wood's naturally beauty whilst providing a protective barrier that repels moisture, but allows the wood to breathe and continue to weather. The metalwork is fashioned from corroded galvanised scaffold pipe and fittings and the unit sits on four flanged feet allowing it to be attached to the floor.
