Definitely not too noisy, smooth operation and relaxing to use
I had to take out a few links to fit it. I'd say up to a 46" waist can use this model (S2 XXL). The weight fits inside the hoop (unlike some that have the runner sliding on the outside of the hoop.) There is no counter on the S2 but it does come with a tape measure to record progress in shaping up your middle.Snap it around your waist (should be somewhat fitted) and toss the weight snappily to get some momentum. After a while you'll figure out the hip and leg movements needed to keep the weight spinning around. It took me just a few times, then I was able to keep it running as long as I liked. I took off a link after a week, so it does tighten your core, even if it's not the most aerobic workout; probably equivalent to level walking at a sedate pace. But it uses your core and large upper leg muscles and some of your back muscles. It is very relaxing.

Love it!
I tried a different brand first and that one just straight up didn’t work. After watching several review videos, I chose this one and am very pleased with it. Straight out of the box, I got a 30 minute workout without a single snag, smack or any other problem. I have been using it regularly for several weeks and still love it. It’s easily adjustable and the links are small enough to make sure you can find the right fit. There are also a LOT of links, so it can fit a wide range of sizes. The only thing that isn’t absolutely perfect is getting out of it when you’re done. lol I find it slightly tricky to open up when I am in it. I’m trying to be careful of the little tabs that hold it all together, although I don’t know if they would break easily.Overall, I would definitely recommend this if you’re interested in a smart hoop.

XXL Swiss Activa
You will definitely feel muscles working and heart pumping by the end of a session.... however I wish they would have put a latch system to open and close it. It is tedious to put on and take off and I am scared one of the attachments will eventually break off. Thank goodness it is a sturdy plastic.

I love this!
I didn’t expect to use it as often as I do. I use it daily sometimes twice a day. It’s so fun! You can easily hula hoop while watching tv.

Worked well for a month, then every link started cracking and breaking!!
It worked great for about a month, then every single link started getting cracks in them. I had no idea until I started hooping one day and 2 links broke at the same time so I looked closer and saw it. I would need to buy an entire new hoop at this point and I refuse to do it when it will probably happen again because of a design flaw. I was also always super careful putting it on, I removed multiple links every time I did it. I also made sure not to get to fast or crazy with it. Just super disappointed.

Buy the S2 XXL!
UPDATE: I ended up returning the S5.S+, which I had rated 1 star. I decided to try the cheaper S2 XXL model instead, since it looked like it had smaller links and a more stable rail. I'm happy to say that both turned out to be the case. The smaller links mean it was easy to find the proper size for me, and I had no problem with the rail/grinding issues of the S5.S+. It's much smoother and easier to use. It is louder overall, but not enough to be a true negative. I'd give the S2 XXL 5 stars and the S5.S+ 1 star, so I took the average and will give 3 stars, as Amazon doesn't allow me to review them separately.I also want to add that after posting my initial review, the company messaged me apologizing for the trouble and mentioned that I could get a full refund. I still wish there was a way to contact them on their site, but I'm impressed by how quickly they responded here. That and the much better S2 XXL definitely helped alleviate a lot of the initial disappointment of the S5.S+.ORIGINAL REVIEW:First impressions were not good. I'm fairly certain my hoop was used, as some of the parts were covered in dirt and thrown around haphazardly in the box. I ordered from Swiss Activa themselves through Amazon Prime, so this wasn't just a shady third party dealer. If this wasn't used, then they need to work on their professionalism, because dirt on new products is not a good sign.Actually using it was also disappointing. Some of the buttons for removing/adding links will randomly stick, making it far more tedious than it should be. The links also should have been half their size. As it is, I can't find a good fit with this hoop. It's either so loose that it's dragging down my hips at an awkward angle, or it's so tight that it's actually painful. That isn't an exaggeration; after using it for just half a minute or so, my ribs feel like I was hit over and over again because of how tight it was. But then remove a link and poof, too loose to work properly. The hoop at this size will sit at a steep 45 degree angle, rather than more or less straight like it should. Because of this, the counter doesn't sit straight against the rails, which means constant friction during use. Constant friction means the hoop/pendulum does not want to stay in motion, which defeats the whole purpose.Considering each link is over two inches long, this isn't surprising; two inches on the waist is quite a bit for something that needs to sit just right. The size of the links was very poorly thought out, and I find it hard to believe people haven't had a problem with this. My waist is a bit over 35 inches by the way, so I'm in the range for the product. All that being said, I wanted to give the brand the benefit of the doubt and ask them if these issues could be fixed, or if maybe I have a strangely defective hoop. For all I know, maybe the steep angle would normally be fine, but the counter I have is defective and just doesn't sit on the rails properly. You never know. I looked for a way to message them on Amazon, but there's nothing. I went to the site instead and found their contact us form, but there is no submit button (Chrome browser), which makes the form useless. I then found their email in their FAQs ([email protected]) and just emailed them directly...but as soon as I sent off the email, I get a response from Google saying the address wasn't found. It's just bad impression after bad impression. One star.

Broken pieces
I like this a lot, it’s been helping me lose weight (about 4lbs in 3 weeks 30-45min/day) for sure and it’s been great to keep me going instead of my ADHD making me lose interest, however just from taking it on and off some of the pieces have broken :( if one more breaks it’ll be too small for me to be able to use itUPDATE: the seller contacted me and has sent a replacement for the pieces that have broken ☺️ you guys are awesome! Also lost almost 10 pounds in one month!

Great Hula Hoop and It is Durable!
This hula hoop was the third one I had to purchase after the other two were super flimsy, cheap, noisy, and not as the products were advertsed. I watched a video about this product and it was highly rated. I decided to pay the cost, which there was a percent off and a coupon so it wasn't bad. I am so happy with this hula hoop. It is relatively quiet, durable, and is what it is advertised to be. The links can be stiff to take apart, but they get easier with use. When I put it on and remove it I remove 2 links and ease it off rather than unlatching it and forcing it off my hips. (The links can be a bit tricky to line up but with a bit of patience & practice it becomes easier.) I think you would be happy with this product. My husband just retired and I have gotten him a Swiss Activa - we will be a hula hooping pair! :)

Great - still makes noise though
It’s definitely not quiet, so I can’t imagine what the regular version sounds like, but it works great. I can use it in my room and I’ll often watch YouTube videos or something to pass the time so I don’t feel like I’m exercising but after 30 minutes I notice I begin to sweat! So I do think it works well
