The Excellent Pub Quiz Book: More than 10,000 Questions Paperback – 6 Oct. 2016

I had high hopes for this book. I thought the 10,000 questions featured in the title would be on a wide variety of subjects. How wrong I was. Be aware: the questions in this book are on only three broad subjects: TV, movies and sport. Even then, for 'sport', read 'football' as that's the predominant subcategory there.As a previous reviewer has also said, this book does have a few inaccuracies which further detracts from the quality of the book. If, however, you like questions on the aforementioned three subjects, this book is for you. Shame it doesn't specify the limits of its variety up front.

A very useful aid to anyone writing a pub quiz, fantastic value

While a great deal of research is needed to compile such a vast quiz book, it is, however, poorly edited with mistakes on almost every page in both the questions and the answers inasmuch as the wrong answer being given (eg Levi Stubbs is the lead singer with which top Motown group? The answer is Adele!!!!) I'm only on to quiz 12 on the Easy section and I've already found seven errors making the book untrustworthy. If you're looking for a correct answer how can you be sure it is right? Perhaps the publisher should employ an editor.

Great variety of questions

Full of inaccuracies, and the categories aren't as good as Preston's other quiz books (no pot luck quizzes). A bit of a disappointment.

This is a very disappointing quiz book. Bought it after doing most of the quizzes from the Ultimate Pub Quiz book which was excellent and had a huge variety of subjects. This one is about 80% TV and sport in all levels. It certainly doesn`t say that in the description! Also there are lots of mistakes with answers being muddled up between questions or just wrong. Won`t be buying any more in this series.

There are far too many questions on football.Also, I’ve only just started going through the answers and there are several inaccuracies.e.g.Which Spectre song did Sam Smith win a 2016 Best Song Oscar?This is badly worded. ‘For’ omitted.The answer given is ‘Philadelphia’.You expect a quiz book to be accurate.
