Truly lovely…with a tiny bit of heat.
As with all of the Lyon’s Den books I loved To Claim a Lyon’s Heart. Sherry Ewing did a beautiful job writing Moriah and Vincent’s HEA.The leader of the Wicked Widow’s Society, Cassandra, has a plan to return all the members rightful place within society. She plans to accomplish this with the help of Betsy Dove-Lyon and a great deal of money.Moriah has bee left penniless after the death of her parents and her husband. To live she is forced to become a mistress. Her last benefactor has left her his money and home. She is at last her own woman. She longs to be excepted by her grandfather the Earl.Vincent is a Marquess in line to become the Duke. He fulfills his obligations yet has much time on his hands. Vincent longs for a woman who sees him for the man he is and not the way to become a duchess. He catches a glance of Moriah and something touches his heart. He loses a bet at the Lyon’s Den. His punishment is to escort Moriah to a ball helping her back into society. What happens next will have you dropping everything to get to the epilogue. A murderous plot is revealed, forgiveness is found, a love blooms. As the story ends Sherry has left the door open for future books. Also, I love that Seraphina reunites with her children.

Wonderful Story
Rejected by her family and left destitute by her late husband, Moriah Henshaw has had to make difficult and scandalous choices to survive. Her second husband left her quite well-off. What he was not able to restore was her place in society. When a friend from the Wicked Widow’s Club pays an exorbitant amount of money to Bessie Dove-Lyon for match-making services, Moriah can’t let her down. To escape boredom and parental pressure to marry, Vincent St. John, Marquis of Saxton, and a friend decide to go and make a wager at the Lyon’s Den. He loses his wager and is introduced to Moriah. He is determined to help Moriah regain her place in Society. Neither of them expects to fall in love. While the two of them work on ideas for her return to Society, a new and dangerous mystery finds them. Someone is trying to harm Moriah. This is an interesting and heartwarming story with another wonderful match courtesy of Mrs. Bessie Dove-Lyon. There is a lovely heroine who has had a difficult time, a protective, kind, and determined hero, a bit of fun, a villain who seeks revenge, and a happy ending. I look for to stories of the other Wicked Widows.I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and voluntarily reviewed it.

MOTIVE FOR MURDER
Vincent St. John, Marquis of Saxton, knows it's time to find a wife. Losing a bet to Mrs. Dove-Lyon, may bring him good fortune, whether he wants it or not. Mrs. Moriah Henshaw has had to make choices not always respectable to survive. When a friend sets up an appointment with Mrs. Dove-Lyon, Moriah hopes to find a husband to help raise her respectability. Vincent and Moriah's first meeting doesn't go off too well, but it isn't long before the two of them form a bond. A bond that could be broken by a murderer. Not much interaction with Mrs. Dove-Lyon, which is a pity. Her mysterious ways and constant interference is part of the charm of this series. Little description with an open bedroom door.I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Redemption and restitution
Mrs. Henshaw deserved better than life had given her but Mrs. Dove-Lyon makes Moriah's future beyond grand. Matched with Vincent, heir to a duke, smooths the way. Great glimpses into past and possible future matches.

Short but Sweet
Well done, Sherry Ewing. I thought this tale was a little short but everything was covered, fewer words are good. I just now realized I didn’t grumble about a bunch of errors an editor should have caught, well done.

3.25 STARS - ROUNDED DOWN
I did enjoy parts of the story because it was suspenseful at times with mystery thrown in and twists. I had a hard time believing them as a couple - I felt no connection. The H is has decided to get rid of his mistress. The h has been a mistress to several men over the years after her extended family didn't step in to help when her parents died. They both start falling in love almost immediately!I do like this series about our Mrs Dove-Lyon and her matchmaking sideline. The stories are written by different author's. This one had a few characters from Jude Knights stories. They are all stand alone stories.Lovemaking outside of marriage - this is where our h shows she has experience. She wants to have sex after only having a few hours with the H. He was unwilling and wanting to wait til they were married - that didn't compute in my brain - lol. Heat level 4.5 out of 5.No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, no romance for me, some twists that did surprise me. (ljb)

Very sweet and entertaining
I liked this little story. I enjoyed seeing snippets of the previous stories interwoven into this tale. I loved the mystery element and how the villain got his comeuppance. I like the ending and lead into the next installment. Definitely have to read on.
