We now have a three-legged guinea pig
Would not use this potty with the grate in place. Worked well for its intended purpose, however it is unsafe. Our guinea pig Hazel gets excited and popcorns around her cage at times and trapped her foot in the grate. The vet had to amputate her leg and now we have a three-legged guinea. It was an expensive and heartbreaking lesson. She seems to be on the mend now, have guilt over purchasing and placing this in her cage.

Doesn't work for rabbit
I fully knew the dimension of this so I can't say it doesn't work, it just doesn't work well for a rabbit. I have a 4 month old Holland lop and got this before I got the bunny to setup the house. Being my first rabbit I didn't really know what to get. The grates are nice and wide which I thought would be better for the feet and it's durable plastic, however, its just too small for a rabbit. It's little butt would be hanging off if it also used this to eat at. So, overall, the product is totally fine for a smaller animal I just give it 3 because it's not great for a rabbit as advertised.

not for rabbits, except to place hay on
Unless your rabbit weighs only a pound OR knows to put his butt over the grate, this will not work as a potty. My rabbit is now getting her hay served on it.My 4-lb rabbit is aging and no longer willing to jump up 4" onto her current box, so I was desperate to find something lower. This was lower, but much too small. What I've just ordered is meant for puppies and other small dogs that need a grate over their boxes because the dogs tear up the absorbent pads without a grate. The holes in the grates may be too small for rabbit pellets to pass through, but this will be a plus for me. I put the pellets in my garden, and the urine gets flushed. I add a little distilled vinegar to the pan to mitigate the urine odor. I'm ordering the largest size available for about $25, perfect for my pen, the 8-paneled kind meant for dogs outside. They work great for dogs who aren't climbers.

Way too small for adult rabbits, but great as hay feeder!
For adult rabbits, this “litter box” is WAY too small! Bunnies need litter boxes that are large enough for them to maneuver around in, turn around in and dig in, which is their natural behavior in the wild. Many bun experts recommend that a single rabbit be given a litter box that is large enough to fit TWO bunnies at the same time. Three ft long, low-sided, clear storage bins are ideal for this use. By giving your rabbit plenty of room to do his/her “business”—and, of course, cleaning the box frequently (preferably daily)—there will be far less chance of your rabbit deciding to potty elsewhere. This product does, however, work very well as a hay feeder (with the grate removed) for a single rabbit! It has a low, angled front, making it easy for the bunny to reach in and nibble on hay. It holds about two large handfuls, which is plenty for a single rabbit since you should always ensure the hay you feed is fresh, rather than letting it sit for days. It’s also quick and easy to clean.I have several of these for my English Angora, allowing me to offer her several different varieties of hay. I place them on low pile rugs, which helps to keep them in place while giving her comfortable flooring on which to crouch. As you can see by the photo, she really gets in to her hay—with both front feet! :-)

IM BEGGING YOU, DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS FOR YOUR GUINEA PIG!!!!!!! My poor baby got his foot stuck in the slots and it snapped. It is not worth it! I saw some reviews saying that similar event happened to other babies and I thought "I doubt this will happen to us". Less than a month after buying it, my guinea pig got his foot stuck and fractured it right above the joint. It's so bad and I feel awful. PLEASE don't let this happen to your baby and just don't buy this!!!!

Easy to clean, very small.
This is a decent litter box. However I have standard size rabbits, 4-5lbs, and they barely fit in this. The picture must be using baby dwarf rabbits. This rabbit floor was a plastic grid, so it isn’t that bad on the bunnies’ feet. However, I found it easier to put my bedding in and leave the plastic crate separator out completely. It’s more natural for the bunny and easier to clean altogether. I have another one that is the exact same size, but different brand, with a metal separator and I took that out as well.If you keep your buns in a small space, then this might be for you. I actually have 2 of these and then a large cat litter box that they play in (and poop occasionally) in their hutch/pen area. I will probably change these up eventually and find a decent size litter box. But for now, these will do.

Easy to clean, great quality... just small
Love the quality and ease of this litter box. Her poop falls right through it. Easy to clean and safe. Added the picture so one can see that it is not big at all. Our Holland Lop bunny weighs 2 lbs and can’t stretch out on it. She still loves it! She also has a larger traditional litter box in her hutch but this one does fit nicely on her 2nd floor level.
