Works great for Inflatable Hot Tub!
Works great as supplemental heater for my Inflatable Hot Tub in the winter. It couldnt get past 91 on its own heater, this brings it to 104 no problem. Dont leave it plugged in for longer than a few hourz or it will overheat the tub. I use it for a few hours before we use the tub then unplug until next use. It brought my tub up to 114 when I left it plugged in all day on accident.

Surprise Surprise Surprise - works, low price (takes long time but so what)
Happily very surprised how it can heat a bathtub reg size and 3/4 full. NOTE: IT TAKES A REALLLY LONG TIME FOR A TUB. But using a bucket or two gets really really hot - even dangerously scalding hot to kinda melt a plastic bucket (all my fault - forgot. But cooled in tub with cold water and nice easy bath At such a low price I think "scary" with immersing whole thing From cord to end in water and plug into socket. No problems, but double careful I pop the switch I bought and unplug before sticking my hand in the water to check warmth.

Works as advertised
I bought this to heat my granddaughters pool. She's 6 & doesn't really care, but, I was concerned about her freezing...lol! It really didn't heat up the rather large pool so I tried it in a bucket of water. That worked great! I mean the water was hot after about 5 minutes! Since it's about time to close up the pool I'll try bucket at a time next year. It really does heat so if small amounts of water are your goal this is great.

I COULD HAVE DIED
Thank GOD I decided to test it BEFORE I stripped down for a bath!!!! Carefully read the instructions. Decided to test this in a full bucket of water instead of heating my bath more before I got into it. Bucket water was maybe 105 initially. In less than 2 minutes, I came back into the bathroom, smelling smoke and melted plastic. I stopped short by the door once I saw and heard water on the floor crackling like popcorn. I swear it was like something out of FINAL DESTINATION! The bucket had melted, water was everywhere, an the heater set the glob of melted plastic ON FIRE. I had to reach around carefully and unplug the heater. Then run into the kitchen to grab a separate pitcher of water to put out the fire. All while not stepping in the water. Then, I grabbed a bunch of towels to soak the water up, closed the door, and prayed my thanks. After about an hour, I finally felt okay to go into the bathroom, with my Timbs on just in case. Cleaned up the mess and had a mini praise session because oh my God I’m alive! Imagine if I had closed my eyes while soaking, trapped in the tub, surrounded by electrified water, and a small fire… naked, alone, at night. Not sure if it was just this particular brand but at this point it’s not even worth the risk to shop around. I’d rather bathe cold than go through that again.

A real lifesaver!
Our neighborhood had major gas line problems and the gas company shut gas off to all the homes until the new gas lines are installed. This began in March, and we will have gas back in October or November. So we couldn’t move away, we own our home, and are stuck… and decided to survive as comfortably as possible. First thing I got was this immersion heater. I use it in a large stock pot in the kitchen to get hot water for dishes, and bought a camping shower to use to take showers. Had to buy a 13 gal trash can to fill with water for a shower. It takes about 30 minutes to go from the tap temp which is in the low 70s to 110º, which is perfect for showering (only need about 9-10 gal for a nice shower). We bought an electric skillet and a dual burner so we can cook, also use the grill and a stand-alone propane burner. They’re all nice appliances but the real star of them all is this heater. I told my neighbors and they all went and bought the same things and all love them. If I could give this TEN stars, I would. We’re in the southwest US so it won’t get cold before November, so we’ll be okay without heat until then.

It works but not as fast as I would like
It works well but the description made it sound like it would heat a tub in a few minutes, which in hindsight sounded too good to be true. It will heat a tub well but it takes more like a couple of hours depending on the starting temp. I bought it because we have a tank water heater and it runs out fast in a hour with 4 girls, and my wife likes baths. Again it works as designed just fine but if you’re looking for a quick solution buy 2 or spend a little more and get the one with a circulating pump. I have found that if you start with like warm water it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get hot, if you start with cold water it’ll take like 4 hours. Depending on the size of your tub obviously, mines a little bigger than average. But it works and it doesn’t melt my tub so that’s cool.

Nice heater!
I got this to use my auto top off 5 gallon RO water for my reef tank. It's worked perfectly to keep the temperature the same as the tank water which is super important. Easy to use and the temp read out is clear. Heats bucket within a few minutes

This water heater worked well.
Bought this to heat up the water in our 6’ stock tank pool. (About 400 gals) Tested the temp every hour for 4 hours and concluded it warmed the water 2 degs per hour. Thought I tripped the GFI to turn it off, but apparently I did not. Came out the next day and the water was 117 degs. That water was warmer than usual for the next 3 days. Definitely works and definitely recommend.
