You get what you paid
First, I feel that 4 stars is a bit high, but 3 is too low. So it's really more 3.5 for me.I'll assume that if you are looking at this, you know this is a generic product, not the genuine made by Apple. Other than the fact that it serves the same purpose of converting your lightning port to a 3.5mm headphone jack, there are quite a few more differences than I expected. So here go the pros and cons:Pros:The adapter is a little longer than the one made by Apple. Not much, but for a 1-inch adapter, an extra inch is helpful, double the length. The construction of the adapter looks very good. Better than the one from Apple. This one can probably withstand more bending, but only time will tell.Audio quality is identical, no difference. No complains from my phone. No message about generic accessories not supported.Cons:Audio volume is way too loud. This might be good if you want to connect it to speakers. But for headphones, it's too loud.Autostart last audio when connected. This is actually a pretty smart idea. When you insert the adapter, it will autostart the last media content for you. However, they forgot to make sure that if content is already playing when the adapter is inserted, it won't stop playback. Which is exactly what happens. If you insert the adapter, the audio does not switch over until you unlock your phone. This is different from the one made by Apple. The one made by Apple will always switch the audio whether your device is unlocked or not. This one somehow is different.Like I said, this is a generic adapter, not the genuine product. There are some differences on how it works. Some differences might be nothing. Most are minor, but there are definitely differences. For me, for example, the audio volume is a difference I find annoying. The others are minor inconveniences. Despite all that, I still like these and the price. Will I buy these again in the future, probably not. I personally would prefer the genuine product from Apple.Update: There is 1 more issue I discovered. With the genuine Apple adapter, if you connect it to your iPhone without a pair of headphones connected, the audio remains with the phone. With this generic adapter, it will switch the audio to the adapter regardless of whether a headphone is connected. Again, probably not a big deal, but is a difference you need to know.

seem to be alright!
Just in case anyone stumbles upon the same thing I did: When I first tried these I had horrible high pitched feedback with headphones - just make sure all your connections are definitely clicked into place b/c that made me think these were defective. After my own user error (lol) they've been fine and do seem alright overall .. especially given the fact it's a very inexpensive product.

Bought twice, and both times they broke with in 2 weeks
I've bought this brand twice, and they don't hold up to using while laying down. I fall asleep with meditations, and the wire at the connection point has broken within 2 weeks each time. They may work better for normal seated use, but the description that says use for sleep does not seem to be accurate. Will not be buying again.

Work but not well
The connection works but if you move around and that is the purpose for me to wear ear buds the connection gets interrupted

Good but brittle
Like the product. Sound quality is great. However, good thing it comes in a two pack. Used this one for around 1 1/2 months and piece snapped in my phone.

Worked for a bit, then stopped, ok for videos not phone calls
Bought the 2-pack. Thought it was a good deal. Apple was much more money and sold singly. Now I have two useless adapters because I wanted them for the sole purpose of using my SkullCandy headphones with my iPhone 13. Speaking with a handler for a $8million property and plug in my headphones like "normal" and no sound, I can't hear them and they can't hear me.Going into the landfill, like most MIC crap. Disappointed. If there were a European made solution I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Good sound.... but.....
Great sound and build quality. However my Apple brand headphones have a volume control built in, and it doesn't work with this adapter. Maybe volume control is not possible with any adapter. Any ways, still pretty pleased overall.

1 on 2 works at least for the music
I'm sad... I lost my original adaptors so, I found these ones. I received them yesterday and... 1 does not work at all and the other one works only for music... For the one that works, the sound quality seems good. This is some what useless as I wanted one to go on my earplugs when I use the phone while driving and one in my car to listen my music on my spotify app on my phone... :(I will sadly return them I guess
