Cuisinart GR-6SC Contact Griddler with Smoke-less Mode

I didn't want to give the Cuisinart Smoke-less Contact Griddler even one star. I followed the directions time after time, managing to get the thing to cook, but not as it should; I worked harder than the appliance trying at times to use only one plate, but it insisted I use both. After a couple times using the Griddler, the plastic drip tray melted, became quite difficult to insert, then a hole appeared, requiring that I use a piece of foil to line it. I thoroughly enjoyed my first one, which I used, perhaps for ten years, until it finally quit, then I was unable to find another, until I saw this one; now I wish I hadn't.

This is a very well made item for sure very happy with it.

J'ai du remplacer mon "OptiGrill", après plus de 10 ans d'usage quotidien. Ce mode de cuisson est idéal pour éviter d'ingurgité, en quantité, des gras de cuisson...Cuisinart a su améliorer la versatilité en permettant l'usage de un ou deux grilles indépendantes, moduler les surfaces de cuisson, de plat à mode "Grill" !!!.... Etc...Design efficace !!!....

C'est mon meilleur achat ... J'adore cuisiné avec mon Grill Panini. Même mon chum se propose de faire des repas... Je ne suis pas une cordon bleu mais avec cette appareil je commence a aimé cuisiné... C'est même mon appareil de choix pour apporter en camping tellement que je ne peux plus m'en séparé. Il fait de bon déjeuné en plus. Il est parfait!

Additionally, the unit's footprint is a bit on the larger side, demanding ample counter space. Despite these minor quirks, the Cuisinart GR-6SC Contact Griddler is a solid choice for those seeking a versatile kitchen companion with a variety of cooking options.

I have only used this Griddler a few times but I’m pleased with its performance. I am somewhat disappointed at the apparent fragility of the cooking plates release buttons. In spite of that I do recommend it.
