Transformers: King Penguin Type!
It’s really cool how this king penguin can go from egg to chick to adult. I didn’t even know that they had stuffed animals that turn into three different things! The most my other ones did was two.The egg part is made of satiny smooth stretchy ribbed material. I think they used to make boys’/mens’ shorts out of this kind of fabric? The brown chick is made of very soft plush material and is the cutest looking stage :) He has two zippers showing and you can actually put small things in both sides, like erasers, small pill cases, clips, Q-tips, jewelry, wrapped candy, feminine hygiene products, etc. Pretty neat. His feet are wonky (really wrinkled). He has a loop on the back of his neck so I guess you can use that to hang him off things. King penguin chicks really are still brown when they reach adult size, so that makes this even cooler. His final transformation of penguin is made of the same ribbed stretchy material as the egg. In this stage he has one zipper showing and there’s an internal zipper so you can still stuff things in him. He also has a little loop at the back of his neck, here, too. My nylon reusable shopping bag (it’s the softer kind, not the harder kind) fits in him. Which means I can use him as a shopping bag holder, too (only one would fit though). He still has wonky feet as an adult. I like how his flippers stick out like a real penguin and he has those thin, almond shaped eyes like a real king penguin. The designer really paid a lot of attention to detail here. He’s easy to transform. It’s pretty much the same for these kind of transforming soft toys. You just turn them inside out from one side to the other (e.g. push the head in first, then the middle, finishing with the bottom). My penguin has no loose threads and the seams are sewn well. I can see the sewing is reinforced at the edges of the zipper. I’ve transformed him more than ten times and I don’t see any seams giving or any fabric fraying.I don’t think this is a toy for a small child because it has a lot of zippers (four!) and made of small parts, which are generally considered choking hazards.I’m glad this little guy is mine :) The design is really clever. I like the funny in-between transformations a lot, too. I must really like him because I wrote a whole book of a review!I also have the carrot-to-bunny one from this company. I wish they made more like this, with more than two transformations. Can you imagine how awesome a frog one would be?!

Super cute, opening like giving birth
My penguin loving granddaughter was entranced by this adorable toy that starts out as a plush egg, unzips to reveal a baby penguin, and unzips once more to become an adult penguin. All three are well made with good details. Getting them “born”, on the other hand, definitely has similarities to labor and delivery. First you unzip the white plush egg and push (and push and push and push) out the very soft and cuddly brown chick. Then, to reveal the adult, you unzip and push (etc.) again. The process took about 10 minutes of concerted, fingernail breaking effort. I think grandchild will keep the chick out as the primary plushie— she likes it best, and isn’t planning to reenact the birth process again.

Not as hard to transform as you think!
This is a well made, creative little toy that I'm sure my penguin-loving daughter will be thrilled with when she gets it as a gift. I know it's well made because, as other reviewers have pointed out, it is a bit difficult to transform from an egg to a chick to an adult and back again and I put some stress on the seams while running it through the different life stages. It's a little hard, but far from impossible. You're not going to wave your hand and effortlessly pop it into the next shape, but it only takes a minute or two. And it might be easier for kids with their smaller fingers. And it's like giving a kid two penguins in one! All in all, I'm quite happy with it.

Very Cute Life Stage Penguins!
Excellent toy! The stuffed animal goes from an egg-- to a baby penguin to an adult penguin! All three are soft and have excellent detail. They come out of each other very easily via a zipper, and they fold back into the egg very easily! Great purchase!

Smaller than expected.
This is about the size of my palm. the egg portion that it comes in first isnt plush. Feels more like a soft liner for a jacket. and being since it feels that way, it looks like its just a bag vs being an egg. However, the second penguin and adult penguin looks pretty cool. Just wish it was a bit larger.Overall, not bad. its got a cool multi evolution design but it is a bit on the small size. Just be aware of that when you order.

It's cool but hard to convert
The tripple design is really cool but to transform it its pretty hard my daughter is a teenager and she was having a hard time trying to get it all the way to the penguin. But the idea from egg to full grown penguin is really cool I just wish it was easier to convert and not be so hard. But my daughter said she's going to leave it on one and that's it her favorite one. It's soft it's well made.
