Really good, but limited
This book requires a bit of time spent before it is really useful. I has clear pictures, but not all possibilities are covered. However, that would require a lot bigger book than this is. It is an excellent beginning.

A Treasure of Information, Haven't Seen Anything Comparable
I decided to get serious about gardening this year, and found it to be more difficult than expected. The first obsticle for the new gardener is selecting the best varieties of plants or seeds to plant. Online nurseries and box stores will try to sell you varieties that are not acceptable for your area.Second hurdle is getting a proper soil analysis especially if you have calcareous soil that can be determined by taking a soil sample, drying it in the oven for about 2 hours @ 175 degrees, then pouring some white vinegar on the dried soil. If it fizzs, you have calcareous soil and need some special testing called an AA extraction @ a higher pH to get usable numbers.Third, potential problems are with diseases and insects that can ruin your plants. That is where this book excels. It may seem to lead you on a "wild goose chase" sometimes, but eventually I came to answers that have been confirmed as correct by other sources each time. I wish it was an easier process, but this book shows how there are many variables involved in getting to the bottom of plant problems, and few "master gardeners" are willing or able to provide this level of advice. If they ever find a way to reduce the number of pages you have to skip around to in reaching the solution, it would be perfect. The only way I can see this happening is with a computer program version of the book. Until that is available, this is a fantastic accomplishment in providing great advice to any gardener willing to learn. The authors deserve publishing award for creating a masterpiece of helpful and useful information.

7 years and still use it!! It will walk you through to a diagnosis.
I have had this book for about 7 years now and still use it several times a year!!! It might be one of the few times In life I still go to a book before the internet 🤣. I like that it walks me through the process to figure out the root cause. It has always been correct. The one area of the book I do find harder to use it the “what to do about it” section. For this I can get frustrated and end up double checking on the internet what to do about the diagnosis I was given. Still I have not found a better book yet. I use it for house plants, outside plant and flowers along with in my food garden.

Insects
It is easy to maneuver through this book to decide what is wrong with my plants. It doesn’t answer everything but it’s pretty close

Really helpful resource, even for experienced gardeners!
I am a master gardener and I refer to this book often when helping people who come to me with plant issues! It's a really great resource. It is important to not that it's not entirely comprehensive. There are lots of bacteria and viruses that look very different from the examples given in the book, and the symptoms shown in the book can look very different in different species of plant. The book functions as a basic starting off point, to help you narrow down what might be the issue, but for some of the more obscure issues, using the book in combination with google search may be necessary.

Fabulous Flow Chart!
I bought this book to try and diagnose a tricky issue with a monstera adansonii - its leaves were yellowing, then turning brown and crisping in on themselves after two happy years in the same location and one repotting / trimming. Adjusting the watering and fertilizing schedule didn't help, and no pests were clearly visible. I bought this book hoping for help - when it arrived I was able to easily follow the diagnostic flow chart and get to the bottom of the problem. Unfortunately the plant can't be saved, but my mind is as rest and the book will be used over and over again!

How's this for a review: BUY THIS BOOK!
I just received my copy of "What's Wrong with my Plant?" this week, and I cannot tell you how many times I've wished for a resource like this! It's, at once, straight-forward, but detailed and complete. And, I don't have to know the Latin name for my plants or trees (or vegetables, for that matter). There is a caution -- it is 451 pages long, BUT the good news is that you don't really have to read it all for it to work. The authors combine drawings, photos, and prose with a no-fault process that anyone can use...homeowners, landscapers, lawn maintenance crews, everyone! Nurseries oughta hide one in the back room, so they can return to a questioning customer with brilliant, accurate advice. WalMart and the big box stores, ought to stock the book, too!I got the hardback verson and I'm glad I did because this is a lifetime resource. And, I'm also giving a few copies away as Christmas presents, knowing full-well that they'll be actually be used by the recipients for a long time hence.

Excellent images for accurate diagnosis.
This has quickly become one of my favourite plant books. When I can get it that is. My wife got a hold of it and I rarely see it now. Lots of images to identify health issues and simple to follow remedies.
