Best can opener ever
I have an older version of this can opener (have had it for decades) but bought this as a gift for someone who said all can openers are terrible. I protest! You just need the right one... And this version is even better than my very old one because it has a small magnet on the end to use to lift out the top once it’s cut. Such a smart design and you don’t need grip strength to operate, unlike most models. Genius.

Maybe they don't understand what the word 'can opener' means.
Half star rating. We have had other OXO products that we liked and that worked well. The Good Grips can opener, sadly, is a complete failure. The serrated wheels don't grab the rim of cans, and the cutting wheel won't engage deeply enough to pierce can tops around the entire rim. With every attempt, the handles click closed and have to be released to open for another try. I had hopes that this would be a step up from our thirty-year old grocery store can opener, but it has been a step backwards. It has been so frustrating that I have thought it might work better to batter cans open.

Doesn’t always work. Sometimes takes me awhile to place on can and slides off midway but better than previous common can openner

So easy to open a can
This can-opener has totally changed my mind-set when planning on opening a can. It locks into place with a button. Then- easily opens can with very little pressure on turning handle. If you have grip issues due to aging or medical conditions, give this a try.

Junk. Do not recommend.
I don’t know if I got a dud or what but this can opener sucks. It does not easily open the can, it pops out and I have to reposition it every few turns. Annoying!!! I had an older version of this that lasted almost 20 years and I bought this as a replacement. This newer version is terrible and I do not recommend. I’m now looking on Amazon for a replacement.
