This works great and we’ve eliminated thousands of flies with it! The smell is awful after the first couple of days, but that’s why it works so well. I don’t keep one too close to the doors. I can’t believe how many flies it’s caught!!

Does not attract flies very well

I caught a few flies in the first couple hours I had it up, but it doesn't have a very strong smell and doesn't attract many flies. With my Fly Magnet powder I had literally caught a dozen flies within the first hour

I have two donkeys and like any equine, flies come in droves to bite them. Four reusable fly traps hang around the paddock and at the height of summer fill up within a month with flies.First, this is a loose powder and not packets like you might be used to so don't make my mistake and use the perforation to just tear the corner off. It seems to attract flies and does ok at it. Where I knock a star is that the name brand will entice flies to completely pack the trap full. This is almost the same price but once there's an inch or two of bugs caught than they stop going in so in my opinion it's only about 60% as useful.

These are good refills if you have refillable fly traps (or if you make your own). It takes a few days before the smell, uh, warms up enough to really attract the flies. But once it does, boy howdy it's quite the stink! Do not put them near the door to your house, near your car, or anywhere else that you will walk through on a regular basis.The only negative is that the directions are needlessly complicated. Instead of telling you the ratio of water to scent refills, it would be much easier to just tell AMOUNTS, i.e. ounces of water or whatever.Not a bad price for the refills, and overall a good 4 stars.

So, this is functional fly bait. It attracts flies, and they drown in the watery mix it creates. That said, it has a VERY distinct, woody acidic smell you can't mix, and if you leave it for a few days, it stops killing flies and only attracts them instead, so you have to keep on it and reset it often. I think the ideal fly trap would be this fly bait, and a ribbon fly trap, since flies LOVE to fly above this bait.

Attracts flies with the smell. Helps bring and catches flies but definitely do not place it close to your house. Our garbage has too many flies and maggots. Now we can draw the flies away from that area. We created our own catcher and used this. Works decently.

Seems to work well , comes with 10 fly packs an dissolve in water put in my other fly trap an works decent had to read water as the powder dint dissolve completely but smells awful an attracts flys well . Keep 15 to 20 feet away from seating areas
