WOW... What a powerful book on CD. EVERY CHRISTIAN should be armed with the knowledge Chip gives you on biblically defending yourself against the attacks of the enemy. I WISH more churches would inform their parishioners who the one is, that is the cause of some of the troubles, worries, fears and guilt in their lives. In a fallen world, and with so many fallen churches and pastors out there- its refreshing to hear REAL bible teaching. Chip addresses what other pastors are afraid to talk about, because through it, God convicts and attempts to correct a lot of sin in peoples lives, and when pastors start to see their service numbers drop, they go back to the feel-good, positive, "follow Jesus and your life will be RADICAL" false teaching, to keep seats filled.... Chip doesn't do that. He's straight up in your face with God's word. I have friends who run a Christian drug recovery program here locally, and they have a bible study and chapel time, I'm taking my book on CD up to the management to put a 2 week program together based on this book- because a lot of the men in the program have had satanic influence in their lives and have been unequipped to understand who and what they're up against. Chip, or pastoral staff- if you're reading this... God bless and keep up the great works! I'm glad I found this book on CD and now your website, so I can listen to the other great sermons you all have! Keep being hardcore for Christ!

In this book, Chip Ingram helps the reader understand the presence of an invisible spiritual war; there is one even if we don't believe it. He shares personal examples of attacks by the enemy, and what he thought and did to combat these attacks. Chip Ingram also provides specific ways and tips on how we can fight against the enemy in these spiritual attacks, yet also helping us to understand how we can access the victory that has already been won by Jesus' death and resurrection. If you are ready to spiritually and mentally overcome this spiritual war, then read this book with an open heart and open mind. Recognize it will take some work in your heart and mind as you read this book.

Great book, used for a group Bible Study.!

After learning about deliverance and attending a deliverance ministry revival where I was prayed over, I was looking for a “calm” answer to many of my questions. I was sexually abused as a child and raped as an adult. I was physically, mentally and emotionally abused. I have struggled for years with guilt for things that I didn’t do or wasn’t my fault along with things that were. The problem with seeing deliverance from all of the above was it seemed there were only two camps. One was radical that blamed everything on demons and took a brutal radical approach. The other camp proclaims that if you think you are oppressed and need deliverance you probably aren’t even saved. I thank God for this book!!! I scoured the internet to find a person with a biblical proof of deliverance and also experience as I have had the same things happen to me as he described in this book. I know I am saved but Satan tries to get me to doubt because I was in need of deliverance. This topic was covered well. The steps for deliverance is outlined well and also he even agrees that you may need help from another individual who is trained in deliverance. If you are struggling with demonic depression and spiritual warfare I highly recommend. I read this is one day because I was so desperate for answers and I got it. God per usual was right on time. Thank you God for this information and thank you Brother Chip for sharing.

Good read. We have an invisible foe

Chip breaks the subject down into understandable and practical applications of scripture for any Christian to use effectively. Keep re-reading it and find more in it every time.

The whole book is chalk-full of practical "how to" ways to stay in the Lord and fight spiritual battles when they arise. This book was mentioned in another book, "For the Joy Set Before Us" by Erica Fye and I am so glad I got it! Chip Ingram has extensive experience with spiritual warfare and is a wealth of knowledge. It was eye-opening, giving real-life examples of spiritual warfare going on in the U.S. and overseas. It also gives reasons why most Western Christians don't seem to experience much in the way of spiritual warfare. It explains the urgency for prayer that is consistent, intense, and strategic and if we'd pray like that, more spiritual battles would be won. The Bible says to put on your spiritual armor, but "The Invisible War" helps explain what each armor piece is, what it does, and it explains how to put it on. I underlined something on every page - that's how good it is! This book is a keeper! It will be a reference tool I will go back to over and over again!

From the very beginning this book taught what all believers must know. Chip defined the invisible warfare going on all around us, not to scare us, but prepare us. Because we live not on a playground, but a battleground. I learned how to resist, overcome and gain victory over the enemy's schemes for my life, my loved one's lives, and our country's well being to gain invincible faith. This book ought to be required reading in all places of worship, and then some. It's that good!

Fantastic book should be read on a regular basis as these lessons have been learned through living the Christian life in a faithful relationship with God and submitting to the Lordship of Christ.

Insightful and on point.

This book should be read as a great reference for spiritual growth. Knowing the power of yourself as a child of God and the truth that empowers the deeper understanding of salvation, freedom and rightful place in spiritual battles every Christian facing everyday. Every Christian should deeply know that the victory in Christ, as He promised, is already right in front of us as Christ already won for us- and better perspective in knowing the schemes of Demons/Spiritual principalities and it's grip to our daily life in faith to our Creator, a better perspective to overcome our defeated/weaknesses of oneself to a whole new meaning of relationship in Christ-which is to live under His grace to experience joy and righteousness in His might.

This was a very insightful book. It really made me think deep about my Christian faith and how I can apply prayer in a robust way. A great read, a must read!
