Works well
Just the job for re lacing my boat shoes. A little fiddly to connect the lace at first but once connected it makes fitting the news laces a breeze.

Too thick and stiff for deck shoes
Bought it to re-thread deck shoes - no good. A brass coil (spring) would work better. Very expensive for what it is.

Nice simple tool - will do what it says
Got this for para cord. It is a simple tool with a threaded cavity on one end into which one can twist the end of a leather lace to work it through the channels on a boat shoe.I think it will do that job admirably. My own purpose will probably need me to tape the end of the cord to the threaded end of the needle. It should serve a similar purpose.I was thinking of dropping a star or two because I would have preferred an eye slotted in one end but penalising a nice simple tool because it didn't have what it wasn't meant to is unfair. It should work for me and do what I need.PS it has a slightly pointed end sufficient to achieve its purpose, posing no hazard to users.

Perfect for lacing Deck shoes
The needle is the only way to do a quick job of placing new leather laces in Deck Shoes. The base of the needle has a threaded and tapered hole which will keep the end of the leather lace in position while you run the thread around the shoe. Do a quick search on Youtube for a tutorial and you will see how it works.

Great product
I decided to replace my leather deck shoe laces myself and found this product with its simple instructions perfect and saved me £5 at least.

Does the job.
It's fiddly to use but it turns an otherwise impossible job into a merely fiddly one. The first shoe took about 20 minutes to do, the second shoe took about 2 minutes.I needed to trim the leather shoe lace to make it fit into the needle. I feel that it should be possible to create something similar using an old pen refill or even a plastic straw.Anyhow, the product did the job and the seller despatched it quickly :)
