The Norton Anthology of Western Literature, Vol. 1

It’s clean and well-preserved, finally have one to take the western literature class!!

I bought this because it was a requirement for my course. Even though, I was amazed by this book. You can call it a compilation of western literature (from early societies to medieval ones). It contains passages such as the Himm of Athen, to Edipo poems, and worldwide famous literature such as the Odysseus and more.

This book is shipped quickly. It's an incredibly thick paperback product that measures about 8 inches in height and is 4 to 6 inches thick. The pages are also incredibly thin. Chances are very good this printing format will end up with ripped pages and missing covers.I bought this brand new because I need it for a class but also would like to keep it for later reading. Instantly on opening the box I already knew that I'm going to lose the cover for this thing. Despite already knowing my upcoming readings, I refuse to touch it because I dont want it damaged before the next semester. I would actively seek a hard copy rather than this if I knew what was coming.

I Loved this book, it had so many wonderful stories and epics such as the Iliad, by Homer and could not fail to present some of Shakespeare epics as well as Boccaccio's Decameron.

I had to have a copy of this book for my Early Western Literature class. I am now finished with the class, but I plan to revisit this book because it contains a valuable collection.

It said it was in "good" condition but when i received the book the pages were extremely frayed and some torn. Looked like it had been through a lot. Could have definitely gotten better quality for what i paid.

I did what I had to do to get through World Lit. I ended up loving the great stories and history.

It's a book for a class that I am taking. It is a used book, so it is kind of beat up but it serves it's purpose

thorough and gives a good overview of many of the writings that have been foundational to western society. very helpful for an 'intro to western classics' class.
