Does the job, but the lids need improvement
The media could not be loaded. These traps work great, as you can see by the video. Had a yellow jacket buzzing around my coffee this morning while sitting on my patio, so I cut up a few pieces of sausage & put them in the trap & it took about 10 seconds for it to find it & crawl in & get trapped. The instructions say to put beer in it, but that didn’t attract any & also evaporated. My grandkids were outside eating breakfast & a few yellow jackets started buzzing around their plates, so I put a few pieces of scrambled eggs & that worked also. So, skip the beer & use meat. One negative… the lids don’t screw on easily & one actually is stuck on, so I had to push the eggs through one of the holes. Not ideal, but still does what it’s designed to do.

Mostly effective
The traps worked on a few scout wasps, but some eventually discovered a small hole at the top near where the string attaches (see pictures). I sealed them with a bit of tin foil which did the trick - more wasps are trapped.I also added a drop of dish soap to break the bait surface tension so when the wasp falls in the liquid it makes it harder to escape.

Imperfect Design
There is a hole at the top so some clever bees are able to get out still. Found a better option elsewhere that is closed at the top and has a solar powered night light to attract more bugs. This still mostly works with the right mixture inside.

wasp trap problem
These traps have one fault. There is a hole on the top that the wasps pr yellow jackets can escape. I had to stuff this hole with cotton to keep them in.

Simple
These are just o k for me. I do not like the fact that I have to clean out the liquid solution. But they're good for the cost.

Hole on the Top
Wasn't having any problems catching the wasps, however I noticed they would disappeared from the trap. Trying to figure out why and how. I was able to witness them escaping from the hole on top where lip is to string the cord through for hanging. Otherwise great product, just need to figure out how to cover the hole from escaping.

Sort of worked
Got a few after a couple days but our yellow jacket problem was out of this world and I knew these weren't doing the trick so we ended up getting some of those disposable traps and WHOA those worked like a charm and quickly! Just hang them away from your house 4-6 around the perimeter. These however, no go unfortunately. They're also really difficult to get apart when you want to rebait.

Effective.
We have three plum trees and a pond. Oh, and wasps! Yellowjackets. I'm not big on killing insects but I had to make an exception when our grandkids were coming to visit. These were very effective. We filled them with honey and apple cider vinegar and hung them in the trees. They attracted only wasps and fruit flies. They are pretty easy to fill and set up, and to clean and refill. They are much more attractive than other traps I've seen. I will use them again.
