Monstrum Shrapnel Series Micro Red Dot Riser Mount

It's a competent picatinny mount, for RDS. Mine is in Shield variant. This is mount is higher than the lowest of the three in the pic mounts in the OTHER Monstrum series, if you've tried them...it basically fits between the lowest and the mid-height mount.When tightening to rails, note there are two wrenches that will fit the torx-style bolts. One wrench (in my kit) was white metal; the other, blackened oxide finish. The LARGER diameter of the two is the correct one for the mount's base bolts. The smaller one will torque a good fair way, but then slip...

Really hard to beat the quality and price of this optic mount. I got it for my crimson Trace cts1550. Fits perfectly very snug on the rail and the optic cut is perfect. Also they included plenty of sets of hardware in different sizes for all the different optics on the market with this rmsc footprint.

So I’ve run this riser for about a year and half now and it’s been holding zero great, it’s very affordable and looks pretty sleek. But when it came time to change the battery on my sight I had to remove the screws to unmount the dot and I stripped both screws using the provided L wrench and so I’m at an impasse. I want to recommend this mount for the price but DO NOT USE LOCKTITE!!!

This is a nice little riser mount BUT, there is no hardware included to mount the optic, the threaded holes in the riser are smaller in diameter than the bolts for my red dots.Solution: Drilled both threaded holes out with 1/8" drill bit, determined size, rethreaded 1/8" holes with M5x0.8 tap, hardware included with both red dot's now fits properly.

I wanted something to fit my vortex defender XL. The mount is good, sturdy. What I pictured and how this mount should be suited to what I need at the range and QCB… plus if you’re reading this. Make sure whatever red dot you have it fits the mount, it says it right there
