CAN “PROGRAM” HOW MANY TIMES CHASE JUMPS!
The media could not be loaded. Depending on the age of the child will determine if you need to help assemble (3-7 w/ help; 8-10 independent play). Assembling and understanding the mechanism is part of the STEM draw though younger kids could just think it is cool that Chase is a robot ;) Even when put together, the body is translucent (assuming you don’t cover the areas with stickers) so even put together, there is a way to get a visual understating of the mechanisms at hand.Another great feature that wasn’t mentioned on the product page is the ability to program the amount of times Chase “jumps” (as you can see in the video I posted). The toy is activated (of course you still need to turn it on to work) by a strong clap near it.Overall, the toy does deliver on what it promises. You will need two AA batteries.

Not worth the money.
This was very difficult to put together, my child was not able to put it together at all and my 12 yr old couldn’t either. Once it was together it never worked properly and then quickly broke.

Production Issues
The toy was not able to be put together all the way. They did not include the stickers needed for Chase.

Great toy for kids who love building and Paw Patrol!
This Build A Bot Chase was the perfect gift for my son. He is obsessed with Paw Patrol and Chase is his favorite character, plus he loves to build things. This bot is so cute in every way, especially his big eyes. It was a bit of a challenge putting it together at times, but I helped him when he needed and let him do most of it. After it was built, his Chase came alive in front of his eyes. The bot can makes sounds and talk, and the coolest part is when you clap he hops around. My son really enjoyed learning how to build a bot and loved seeing his accomplishment when he was done. Super fun learning toy for him, and now he wants another to build soon. This toy was definitely a win!

Breaks within a couple hours
It’s too difficult to put together with children. Even I struggled with the directions. We (finally) got it up and running and then it wouldn’t stop moving within an hour of playing. Turned it off to let it sit for a second, even removed the batteries and put them back in, and it now won’t run at all. My son was so excited when he got it and it’s now such a disappointment. I should’ve spent the money on something better.

Love this!
My grandson is 7 and "too old for Paw Patrol" but I convinced it to build a robot with me.The instructions are simple and assembly was semi difficult. There is definitely no way my grandson wouldve been successful building it without help (deducted 1 star for that). It did give us the opportunity to talk about design and construction and electricity and how it all works. This is a great toy. Younger littles will need more help but theyll be drawn to the Paw Patrol of it. Older littles might declare themselves "too old" for PP, but you can get them with the robot part of it.We had a great time and this was a fun activity when we were stuck indoors.
