This tea is delicious! The smell alone is comforting. It works real well in calming the nerves. I do have problems with anxiety in the evening. I drank 2 cups of chamomile tea today. I got 4 hours of anxiety relief. As soon as I opened the bag, the smell was just divine. I put the loose leaves in my tea strainer for several minutes. The taste. The scent. The color.Its the trifecta of a soothing, comforting and enjoyable cup of tea.

While I believe this is as advertised I was disappointed that so much is powdery. Might be because of the type of chamomile different from the German version

I have Chamomile tea before. This variety is from Albania. It is much powdery, dusty, and with smaller flowers. After I made a cup of tea with it, the taste is fresh and fragrant as I expected. The price is higher than other popular vendors though.

I'm used to real Chamomile tea (it's called Roman, or Anthemis nobilis). The bulbs (they're called ovaries) are large and come whole and in tact. The pedals are big. The product photo is what it's supposed to look like.Immediately out of the box it didn't look right, looks more like Matricaria Recutita (cometimes called German chamomile), which some people don't consider real chamomile, it's a different species. The Matricaria is a much smaller plant, tiny bulbs, small pedals, and they're brittle so they fall apart into tiny bits and pieces almost immediately.Then I noticed a label that had been covered up, which I peeled back. Sure enough, the bottom label says Matricaria, not Roman Chamomile.Then one more fishy thing - this comes from Albania, a region not known to be able to grow true chamomile.You can make tea with Matricaria, if that's what this is, but the tiny bits escape the tea ball and you have floaties all over your tea.But more importantly, I don't feel comfortable feeding my family and friends something that is not clearly and accurately identified and labeled.

I have always loved Chamomile tea and was thrilled to find some loose chamomile tea available. There is quite a bit of tea in this resealable bag that stands upright. The loose tea smells so heavenly, my bag has lots of flowers and vines, not all crushed like some of the reviews. I drink this day or night, whenever I want to relax and it calms me to sip this tea. I usually brew a whole tea pot in the evening while relaxing in front of the tv. I also brew this chamomile tea and pour it over my dogs dry food, once it cools off and is dry dog food is fully swelled I feed it to my dog who suffers from anxiety, it helps. Due to the delicate nature of the flowers they do have a tendency to crumble. So when I receive the back the front window of it was filled with a powdery look from the flowers crushed on the inside against it. Inside the bag there are still most of the flowers in tact. I think this is one of those teas that are better shipped by itself and in a hard package so it won’t get crushed. The tea came in a shipping bag instead of a box when shipped. A box would’ve protected it more from being crushed too.The taste of the tea is mild. This tea really needs space to brew. So either put it loose in your cup or otherwise in a perforated cylinder that you can remove before drinking. Having it in those little tea balls Doesn’t allow the water to flow through easily.

While browsing Amazon I saw this chamomile tea and figured I’d try some. It comes in a resealable plastic lined brown paper pouch. I prepare it in a 64 oz thermos with stainless steel infuser which provides six regular tea mugs. The tea itself looks great; it’s not too finely ground and you can easily recognize the parts of the flowers which have the really nice scent. Because our 64 oz thermos keeps the water temperature hot for a long time, I really don’t need much tea. Just two teaspoons is enough for a decent brew.The first thing you notice with this tea is how nice it smells. It tastes just as good. It really is a relaxing tea so I prefer to drink it in the evenings where it really does ease my mind and helps me relax. By the time I go to bed I drift off easily. My husband noticed he has a far easier time going to sleep too.
