Item exactly as described. Don't believe the "freeze proof" claim, it is plastic and will crack if allowed to freeze.(that is why I bought these replacements.) Good quality, easy to read from a distance.

Big Bold Numbers and bright Red floating disc that allows easy reading from a distance like all cylinder rain gauges I've owned, the snow collects on the top and keeps much of the snow out, but its no worse than my glass tubes. It will probably fade in the course of a few years, we'll see... But to be fair, the glass tubes, even though made of the tougher higher quality borate glass usually cracked and broke after a couple years of freeze thaw cycles.

My 7" Plastic Rain Gauge by JMBOY arrived on time today. The Amazon Driver delivered it precisely on time - He was Super Nice, too. The product was carefully packaged in a box and came wrapped in plastic - the Brush was stored inside the gauge. The numbers on the tube are large and easy to read. Most importantly, the tube fits perfectly in our APSOONSELL Rain Gauge with Solar Lights. It had a 7" Capacity Glass Tube that broke when a small amount of water was left in the tube and the temp dropped below freezing one night. On a whim, I searched Amazon and found this product! I am perfectly delighted with the 7" Plastic Rain Gauge. I have not used the cleaning brush but I fully expect it to perform smooth as glass. Consider me completely satisfied with this product!

Would be a five star but the Temperature reads about 5 degrees too high, and is highly affected by direct sunlight, and it has to have to be “in the open” to catch rain. Rainfall readings are very good. I like the ability to read different “periods” of accumulation. A very good and simple way to read rainfall, for sure.

I replaced my glass rain gauge with this plastic one. The glass one broke when I left it out and it had water in it and the water froze. I like the look of this one because I can see the numbers from the window without having to go out in the weather. If fit perfect in my existing rain gauge holder and was as easy to install as slipping it into the holder. Good value for the money and even comes with a brush to clean it.

Great size. Fits my bracket exactly. And the floater to measure the rainwater is a nice addition.

I really like the big numbers, I can see them from my porch and don't have to actually go outside. The freeze proof claim, I have to dispute. I gave one to my sister and another to a couple. My sister's and mine did not survive the last cold spell but the couple's did. I guess selling the replacement tubes is a sign. Anyway, I like it so much I did get the replacements. Also like the red floater so you can see even better.

I’m quite excited with the 7” glass rain gauges. They arrived securely wrapped in plastic bubble wrap and nice large, clear numbers makes them easy to read. I was a little surprised when delivery date was on Sunday! But sure enough, l was not to be disappointed.

"plastic tube will not freeze crack" "There is no need to worry about freezing cracking in the winter" This is 100% false. I purchased this rain gauge, looks nice and I do like it, however it cracked the first winter. my 12 yr old did his best to crazy glue the crack. Time will tell if that works. if not, will prob order another one, but take in for the winter.

This rain gauge records double the amount actually received

This is only 24 1/2" tall when pushed into the ground. Not the advertised height. The metal rod is very small in diameter. Underwhelmed by this product.
