This stuff is great. Just bought a bag. It looks like a bag of flour with some bits in - dunno why, I expected it to have more colour than it did. However, when you cook it, it goes proper kfc colour. Had some friends round and they were properly impressed by it.Soaked my chicken pieces in buttermilk for a few hours with cayenne, paprika, garlic powder, white pepper and salt. Drained them off, dipped them in the coating, then in to beaten egg, then back into the coating for a double dip.Fried in batches at 180c for 5 mins, then in the oven at 180 for another 15 mins when all fried. It was bang on and crispy. Definitely going to keep ordering.Try my method, which I nicked off the hairy bikers. If it works for you, give it a helpful vote!

Not authentic KFC flavour but quite good substitute.Can be successfully used with, or without egg wash. Good for oven or pan cooking.

Ordered same batter second time and it was very salty. Previous order was just too good , so reckon second time it will be pleasant but it had too much salt in it . Other flavors were spot on but increased salt proportion ruined the whole taste.

This mix is excellent. Has lovely flavour and crisps up the skin without drying out the chicken. I do what they say which is coat the chicken after wetting and then leave in the fridge for a while, but you can skip this. I’ve been cooking in my Ninja Air Fryer and it comes out perfect. Would definitely recommend for a KFC style flavour.

A bit tasteless no instruction for usage.

This product is very flavoursome and although not an exact copy of Kentucky Southern Fried chicken, it is very tasty. Would recommend to anyone who likes to be adventurous and add extra seasoning/herbs such as oregano and black pepper/pinch of chilli powder for more heat, but try the coating as it at first to gauge what you might like to add.

I bought this product with the hope of duplicating one of our favourite dish4s. It arrived very quickly, and, salivating in anticipation I cooked it that night. What a disappointment it was. After double dipping the chicken came out with a lovely crunchy coating, but tasteless! Thinking it must be my cooking we tried again, but no, lovely crunch but no taste. It is as if someone forgot to put any herbs, spices or even good old salt and pepper. Sorry but can only give 1* due to lack of taste.

I have been trying a lot of these to coat my chicken and i have got to say that while it coats nice i found that the flavor was not as strong as i expected it to be but it does come out crispy and would probably buy it again due to being out voted by my kids who really liked it, i also liked the way that it's main ingredient is not salt like most out there at the moment which spoils it as you don't find that out till your eating it so i was glad about that which is probably another reason for me buying it again in the future.
