i wasn't expecting much from this, I didn't accept it to register, let alone for the plug and play to work!!It came well packaged, the driver itself is very sleek and doesn't look out of place next to my MacBook Air! The YSB tucks convienantly behind the unit! Well thought out I must say!I am absolutely Blown away, it's connected to my MacBook and playing cds I hadn't heard in years in LITERALLY UNDER TWO MINUTES!I plugged in the USB, accepted the conditions and my CD appeared in the right hand corner of my desk top 🙏🏻I finally have access to the cds I've so lovingly saved and I'm able to store them permanently! I'm yet to play a DVD... but guess who is going to have movies saved in their iTunes to play across all devices... ME!!Could not recommend this enough, if there was a sixth star I would give it!!!

A simple bit of kit that solves every problem when a CD/DVD drive is unavailable. Works flawlessly and everytime.

Excellent piece of tech. Since moving to a notebook rather than a laptop, I had lost my ability to upload CDs and wanted an external drive. After reading many reviews I opted for this one and haven't been disappointed. Overall delighted and thoroughly recommend it.

Perfect for my needs, just plug in and play.There were cheaper models to be had but I'm so glad I chose this one .Working well straight from the box. A slightly longer lead would have been better, but i still think its a good value smart looking drive that is recommended to work with my computer very well.

Ho acquistato questo lettore/masterizzatore DVD esterno poichè il mio ultrabook non ce l'ha.Anche se ormai i cd/dvd si usano sempre meno, capita quel momento in cui si ha bisogno. Risulta quindi molto utile averne uno esterno, da portare sempre con sè (per chi non ce l'ha interno chiaramente).Dopo una piccola ricerca, ho scelto questo, convinto dalle molte recensioni positive.La confezione è abbastanza curata. Esteticamente il lettore sembra davvero ben fatto. E' chiaramente in plastica ma davvero ben costruito.La trama con cui è fatta la plastica è davvero molto bella. Tutto curato nei minimi dettagli, personalmente lo trovo esteticamente molto bello ed elegante.Ma la cosa più importante è il suo funzionamento: essendo un lettore esterno, è per forza di cose più lento nella lettura e scrittura rispetto a quelli interni, è normale. Tuttavia, soprattutto se collegato ad una porta USB 3, la sua velocità è buona per un uso normale/domestico. Quei 2/3 secondi di ritardo nell'apertura di un DVD rispetto ad un lettore interno li ritengo personalmente accettabili, soprattutto se consideriamo che il lettore in questione non ha bisogno di alimentazione esterna, si alimenta quindi con la sola porta usb.Una volta collegato, viene riconosciuto quasi istantaneamente (provato con Windows 10) ed è subito operativo.Si può benissimo utilizzare anche per boot di sistemi operativi e altro, basta chiaramente impostarlo come sorgente primaria nella lista di boot, dal bios chiaramente.Il cavetto è un po' piccolino, lungo circa 20cm, ma si nasconde sotto il lettore quando non deve essere utilizzato, molto comodo e si evita il rischio di danneggiarlo, piegandolo ad esempio per riporlo da qualche parte.Non ho trovato nessun problema o difetto, per adesso funziona perfettamente. Molto soddisfatto.

La he probado poco dese que ha llegado, pero funciona correctamente en la lectura de cd y dvd y no hace mucho ruido.La carcasa es plastica.En general me he quedado satisfecho ya que el uso será ocasional y no queria gastar mucho dinero.No tengo queja alguna por el momento.

Derzeit arbeite ich noch mit Win7-PC’s (sowohl 32- als auch 64bit) und habe mit dem externen CD/DVD-Brenner keine Probleme.Primär suchte ich fürs Notebook nur ein reines DVD-Laufwerk. Manchmal hat man ja noch alte Datenträger bzw. LINUX-Boot CD’s.Unter Win7 funzt das Teil wie erwartet: Anschließen, Laufwerk von Windows erkennen lassen und einfach benutzen.Testweise einmal eine CD voll mit PDF’s kopiert und gebrannt und funktionierte auf Anhieb.Ich habe noch ein original externes HP DVD-Laufwerk, welches von der Haptik etwas besser verarbeitet ist. Aber der Funktion tut es keinen Einbruch.Schade nur das –im Gegensatz zum HP-Laufwerk- an diesem Laufwerk direkt ein USB-Kabel montiert ist. Das erhöht die Fehleranfälligkeit im Falle eines Kabelbruchs.Momentan 4 verdiente Sterne von mir. Win10 habe ich nicht ausprobiert und könnte (lt. Rezensionen) ggf. Probleme machen (?)Das gelieferte Laufwerk funktioniert bei mir wie erwartet.

Cogi el aparato, para el portatil de mi hija. Lo probamos y funciona bien. Todavia no lo hemos probado a grabar, pero la reproduccion, va muy bien. Es ligero y tiene la ranura para guardar el cable, con lo que queda muy discreto, sin cables colgando. El cable, lo veo algo justo, pero mejor que este asi y no estorbando con un cable mas largo.
