I bought this cord to rethread a bracelet made for me by my grand-daughter, where the cord was on it's last legs. The bracelet is special to me. The new cord is exactly right, clear, very strong, and stretches a little but not too much. Tying off the knot is a problem but I followed the advice and used a drop of superglue on the knot to stop possible slippage. I am completely pleased and satisfied with this cotd.

I bought this for jewellery making as reading about it I expected it to be 'the one' elastic for jewellery making. Well it does seem to be strong & the quality is there, but I find it quite 'stiff' in bracelet making. The end result is not as stretchy as other brands I use. Maybe its just me but I definitely prefer more of a 'give' in my bracelets. It's pricey too, but I'm going to stick to my own tried & tested & trusted brand from now on. Personally I won't buy again - but a good exercise for comparison!

I had four sterling silver beaded broken Chlo Bo bracelets where the elastic had snapped and was desperate to get them fixed but didn’t really want to pay to get the repairs. I watched a few videos on You Tube and this elastic brand had been used a few times on them alongside the B7000 glue so decided to give it a go and try to repair myself. It was the easiest thing to do and the elastic is strong but also nice and stretchy so stayed strong when tying knots. Highly recommended.

Disappointing- the first bracelet elastic that snapped on me and I have used lots

I have wasted so much money on stretch cord for bracelets and always been disappointed. No matter which knot I used, and whether or not I used glue, I simply could not get the 2 ends to stay attached. Or there was so little stretch that I was convinced the bracelet would simply fall apart when I tried to put it on or take it off. Then I spotted a tutorial on YouTube where the lady was using this and saying it was the only brand she would ever use. At such a low price I decided to give it a go. Admittedly all I have done so far is cut a piece of and tie knots as instructed on the packaging. Already I can spot the difference. The knots do hold. I can get planty of stretch without the damn thing sliding apart again. All I have to do now is make an actual bracelet to make sure this test wasn't a complete fluke.

This string wouldn't be ideal for professional jewelry makers, but it's perfect for children's beading. This particular roll features a clear color which the kids seemed to be a huge fan of- as it turned invisible once the beads where on it. We used pony beads, small seedbeads would be too small for this string. But for seed beads it was perfect. It's firm enough for kids to easily use. It's not flimsy so they can hold it still and easily put the beads on. The firmness is good- but it doesn't streth that much. It stretches enough for bracelets to fit over the hand and necklaces to fit over the head. But it will break if it's pulled too hard. It doesn't tie very easily either, so if you are making children's crafts you will be making a lot of the knots for them. I knotted each bracelet for times and pulled tightly each time just so the tie would stay. It's a bit hard to get it to not unravel itself, so you need to tie it tight- again without pulling so hard it breaks. Other than that though, this string is absolutely the easiest material for kids to work with. It fits through beads easily and stands firm when it's heald upright- so the beads can easily slip on. It's clear and hides benith the beads easily. Overall, my kiddies got to make a bunch of lovely jewelry and this string was a great buy. When I run out, I'll be back for more. A few tips: Tape one side of the string onto a table, this will keep the beads from falling off. Then when the kids are finished untape the string and tie it. When you tie the string double knot it. Then tie it two more times, but pull the elastic and let it snap back and fourth a few times with each not. This will ensure it doesn't unravel and fall apart. Pony beads work great with this product and I highly reccommend the big bags of them. If you have a bunch of kids- like a camp like I do- this string is enough for I would say 100 kids to make 2 bracelets each. I had 20 over, each made 3 to 4 bracelets, and we only used half the string.
