Does not attach to healing tissue when changing dressing!
This thing is a lifesaver. My dog had a serious wound on his leg, and EVERY dressing I was using was sticking to the healing skin, it would add days of healing by pulling on tissue while changing it. But not this dressing. Because of the super absorbent quality, it kept the wound itself dry, and when it came time to change the dressing, it would nearly fall off with no damage to the healing tissue; he about healed overnight. This dressing does not have a self-adhesive and would need a Coban or surgical tape to keep it in place. Because I used it on a dog, this was just what I was looking for. This is an amazing quality dressing, which can be seen suitable for burns, scratches, or any open lesions on the skin with no damage while changing. Hope this helps!

A review of two Everlit products
I have used 2 VERY SIMILAR Everlit products for wound care and there is very little EXTERNAL differences between these two products. This is the Super Absorbent Dressing for Wound Care. It is VERY SIMILAR to the MEDLINE Optilock in construction but in different sizes. The material that absorbs exudent is very similar; and the NONSTICK material used is nearly IDENTICAL. This is really a GREAT bandage if called for, built very similarly at less than half of the cost of the Optilock. This product is also VERY SIMILAR to the Everlit Equiflow set of products; which are similarly sized and the materials is nearly the same EXCEPT for the NONSTICK material; this product has the BETTER non-stick material; although the other is non-stick, the Equiflow material sticks a little bit more than this product. The Equiflow is about 20% cheaper overall and is also a little bit thinner of a bandage, but not by much. I've used both, for the same wound, and I tend to prefer the cleaner lift-off of the Super Absorbent over the Equiflow just a little bit more. The Equiflow also has more layers of material, but to the layman, this is of zero consequence. The $4 or $5 I save on a package of 10 with the EQUIFLOW is not a concern; I like the non-stick material a bit more with this product. I am using the 6x6 size in both. The 5x5.5 size of the Optilock is slightly too small; One thing I have noticed with all 3; I am not using tape, but compression socks to hold in place. The outer edges can wear on newly formed skin, so I use the slightly larger 6x6 size that the Everlits provide. It's NOT the $25 disparity in price that causes me to choose the Everlit 6x6; it's moving the 'wear edge' off from newly formed skin. The 6x6 size is great if you need that; and if you've had the same wound for many months, comfort is more of a concern than price.

Do a great job keeping you dry
These are great at keeping the wound from leaking every ware. But they are very expensive.

No refund even if it goes through a mud puddle!
I ordered several different bandages for a recent surgery and almost all of them came smashed and dirty. I needed these so I decided to keep them, however I thought the outside edge was sticky & all of the white area was nonstick. It is all nonstick though, so I tried for a refund and no refunds are given on this item even if it goes through a mud puddle before it arrives to you! I wouldn't have ordered if I had known, but I should have read closer. For a completely nonstick pad, it appears as a very absorbent, good pad.
