We put this over our sliding doors after trying 3 different styles and brands. Sliding doors are wide, so we have this baby stretched out, just shy of the max. We use blackout curtains (darn late afternoon light that makes out living room hot). Unfortunately blackout curtains can be heavy, and when you have any rods extended close to 80 inches, even with the bracket in the middle or even the side bracket (and 2 kids under 6, who hide/play in the curtains)…we’ve had the middle bracket rip from the wall with the anchors as well.Back to this rod, because there’s more coverage on the wall with this rod, it fits very securely on the wall. The middle bracket bows a touch from the weight of the curtains but it feels super stable. I don’t have the fear that it’ll rip from the wall. Looking back at my experiences, if you’re using heavier curtains and extending it close to the max width, I’d look into getting another middle bracket (it comes with one, so it would total 2), to really hold hold the weight and to not see a slight bow (I even installed that piece higher to avoid this issue). I love the aesthetic of this rod, it’s a great country/modern look. Great price, decent quality and easy install.

This curtain rod looks great and pairs perfectly with my curtains. I wish they were a bit more heavy duty but they get the job done and are very easy to assemble and install.

Very low rent designGood paint makes it look like steel but the wall mounts that look like plumbing are plasticWorks but lacks the feel of quality.

Looks nice but the end portion appears to be plastic. No biggie. It still gives the look I'm going for. I'll order another.

All metal except for curved hardware.. still looks very sturdy..goes together easily..
