iHORN Wireless Door Window Contact Alarm

Alarm systems need no longer be complicated and this is such a case.Its a simple idea. Scan the QR code on the instructions and download a Google or Android app. You can also search for smart-home on IOS if you have got a QR scanner on your Apple device. Download - open and type in the code E4EP to unlock the software. there is a "register" button at the bottom and just type you email in and press the "code" button. Then check your email as you will receive a code (surrounded by Chinese writing - and may go into Junk). Type the code in and create a password and it logs you in.Once the software is loaded you press the + button to Add a device. Add the hub, which it lets you do by invoking its own QR scanner for the code on the bottom of the hub. After scanning it then asks for the wireless network to join (only does 2.4Mhz), once joined that the hub done.Add the other devices in the same way and the App lets you set all devices, set some, turn them all off etc. The software is easy to use and has all sorts of options.You can also turn on/off the alarm with the key fob - once you Add it like you Added the other devices.The alarm is loud enough but not painful and all the units run on batteries.

After initial set up issues was ableto get this LIVE (thanks Amazon Cust services) - Please take this as a note the mail they send you may go to your junk as the title is in Chinese (not helpful). once LIVEit does what it should. Siren is non existent but alerts are immediate when a door connect or PIR are breached. looks good and othr than initial set up frustrations does what I wanted

Took me about 5 hours to actually install it.First, I got a used kit that was connected to a different account. Then, after about 3 hours I got the hub connected but the app started making trouble.After two days, the app just stopped logging in. The support team showed me they can access my account but I couldn't so how did that help?It was the weekend so they couldn't help me and their developing team should have contacted me on Monday.I stopped there and returned the product.An alarm system that isn't reliable and doesn't have support during weekends (not Saturday even!) is worth nothing to me...

Installed yesterday in about half an hour. In fact measuring & drilling holes to wall mount the PIR sensor took longer than the rest of the set up. All seems very good so far. I spent a lot of time researching an alarm. I wanted a system that would notify my mobile when activated, wireless, no contract, easy to install, reasonable purchase price and connects to the internet via wireless (to use with a WiFi dongle in case telephone cable cut) rather than ethernet cable into landline router. This alarm does all this. Only thing missing to make it perfect (for me anyway) is a battery backup for the hub unit. Highly recommended. Also thanks to Samuel Lau for the review & set up instructions - easier to follow than the manual!

I had been looking for a home alarm which notified my mobile phone without a phone line for months. I wasted loads of time looking at overpriced products such as Yale, only to find they do not do what i want - activate an alarm and notify me via app or text message.This product is easy to set up, read the short instruction book word for word to avoid any easy mistakes. Hardware is of good quality. I would recommend buying the siren on top of the starter pack as the alarm that comes built in is NOT loud but nevertheless a deterrent. If you want a cheap, simple, good quality alarm do not look anywhere else. I'd like to see more products added to buy to expand in the future.

Hi - I have just received this device - the software to download on Android is called iHorn Smart, by the China Security & Fire IOT Sensing Co Ltd - in Google Pllay the icon to look for is an orange house with wifi coming out of roof! I have just installed mine and it works fine. I made a boo boo, please make sure you read QRcode of door sensor before you stick it on! I am stuck with that now as can't get sticker off door sticker - has anyone got any thoughts on what to do - I've emailed supplier - are all door sensors same QRcode? Anyway, aside from my error, good device - just wish it was a bit louder but fab otherwise!

App installation ,registration and connecting to wifi kept collapsing/freezing/failing before it worked somehow. Once the system was installed, the door connector kept going offline.

cannot use it..1. The set of device are not usable. When I scan the QR code, it prompt that those devices are used already. I can't activate them at all.2. The mobile application is developed by China company, for your info.
