Works like a dream
Just bought a new car and do my own oil and filter change at the start of summer, l have retired my beautiful Audi A4 Estate having done over 200k miles, so purchased similar car but Mercedes Benz C Class Estate, so looked at YouTube video to see how to do oil and filter change on my new Mercedes. I was astonished how easy this guy did the service in about 20 minutes with this extractor pump. With my Audi having run onto ramps, crawled under to remove the covers, then proceeded to empty the sump via the sump plug, allowing drainage for about 25 minutes, changing the filter, replacing the sump plug, and remember you must do that, 🤣 filling up with new oil to completion would take around an hour or so, but watching this video, I’m straight on Amazon and ordered the same extractor pump, run the car so the oil was hot, removed the dip stick and placed the correct size pipe down into the sump until it touched the bottom, pumped the handle 6 times and heard the oil running into the pump reservoir, l was so pleased it was that easy. After only 7-10 minutes l could see the reservoir was showing over 5Lts of oil and hot to the touch on the outside of the pump. I poured the contents into an empty 5Lt container which then showed me exactly how much oil l needed to put back into this engine, with new filter also changed, total time was around 20 minutes, amazing. I even drained the full tank of diesel from my Audi before the breakers collected it. So really pleased with this method of extracting oil from your car. Please note, it is advised NOT to extract petrol as this will likely melt the plastic pump casing. Before starting the oil extraction, place the pump on an old blanket, dust sheet etc, as l gave it a few more pumps for good measure while the oil was still going into the reservoir, mistake, over pumping will open the release valve under the pump and oil will appear on the block paving, silly me, 🤣 this is not a pressure pump that we use to water plants or spray weed killer, you only need a few pumps to create the vacuum to start the process. Cleaning. a 2Ltr container of hot soapy water, pump to empty the water into the reservoir, shake the pump to clear the old oil and allow to drain, this will also clean the pipes. I have always enjoyed doing a oil and filter change, but this makes it so much easier and straightforward. I highly recommend this extractor. Hope this review helps. 👌

Great easy oil change
I bought this on the good name of Sealy/Siegan its well made and easy to use with a warm engine. I would have liked some spare tubes. It is well made and appears it will last. I have had a cheaper model and I recommend paying the extra price.

Excellent piece of kit - siphoned 11.5 litres in total
For the price, this is a superb DIY tool that does exactly what it claims to. The task I gave it was to siphon 11.5 litres of unknown aged oil from a 4.0 V8 diesel and it got every last drop.It took a long time but that was partly because of how thick the oil was despite warming the engine to get extra viscousity and mainly due to only being able to use the medium sized extraction tube because of the dipstick tube narrowing significantly nearer the sump. There ARE marking on the unit to indicate each litre extracted although they’re tricky to see. However, unlike another reviewer I found the hooped marks on the unit to be exactly 1 litre markings anyway (and I measured a litre of extracted water from a 1 litre jug beforehand to be sure!).I could go on but the reality is that it does everything the description says and, if it lasts, will allow me to do 6k mileage oil changes at vastly reduced sums of money - something I’m delighted about! One thing I would say is to have a few cloths and rags handy. You’re bound to get oil drips when detaching the pipes due to the suction and retained oil in the tube. Also, you may well have to re-pump a lot of times as I did to keep the suction going at a reasonable pace but it’s not the end of the world.

Works well
Have done two oil changes with it now so it has paid for itself already really. It makes an oil change so much easier with no mess or spills and when you have added the new oil and changed the filter it is easy to pour the old oil into the empty containers the new oil came in. Hope it lasts and is durable , It certainly looks well made and sturdy.

Pleasantly surprised
I bought a VW T4, and some monkey had tightened the sump plug up so tight that it rounded off trying to undo it. I had the choice of welding a nut on the sump plug, and then risking the alloy sump breaking trying to remove it, or finding another way. This was the other way. I was dubious, but thought it was worth a punt.Well worth a punt. The 5cyl engine holds 5.5 litres of oil including the filter. I warmed the engine up, and the pump sucked 5 litres out of the sump, it took a few minutes, but big thing, I didn't even get my hands dirty! Well, not until removing the filter... I also used the pump to drain the filter out, and got 5.5 litres in total. That's pretty conclusive, eh?So, all in all, well worth buying. A useful tool to have, and cheaper than a new sump, for sure. Works well, does the job.

Would have been really pleased with product if it was new
This product was delivered with the box opened as if it was second hand with no instructions it took ages to sort out the suction to get it working

Good Quality Product !
This is a good quality product. I use it to remove the oil from my car and ride on lawnmower. It would be nice if it had volume graduation marks.
