I purchased this because my queen is expecting, and I thought the 50cm would be ideal for her & her kittens while they were still very young.On the plus side, it's nice & soft, the outer walls seem sturdy & firm, and they're high enough to keep draughts out.I won't be able to use this with young kittens unless I place a large towel or blanket over the whole bed, though, because the outer edges of the cushion, while just meeting the walls of the bed, aren't snug. I can easily fit a fist between the edge of the cushion & the inner wall, with room to move it about. My cat has already got her leg 'trapped' between the 2 (only momentarily, but it scared her), and it would be all too easy for a small kitten to fall through the gap & become trapped unless it's otherwise sealed off.My biggest gripe with this cat bed is the base. The rest of the cat bed is nice & sturdy (which is exactly what I wanted), but the base is just a flimsy material with nothing reinforcing it - this causes the bed to 'rock' with the movement of the cat getting in & out (even when placed on a hard flat surface) which is a sensation my cat hates, so she's been actively avoiding the bed since her first attempt at getting in. For a cat bed that's otherwise pretty well made, I'm surprised that the base has been so skimped on.If this cat bed were redesigned with the following changes, I'd recommend it highly:1) Use of a more durable material for the base, and the addition of a stiff disc of some kind to it that will fit under the cushion to give more stability (thus reducing wobble).2) Slightly enlarging the diameter of the removable cushion so that it's a snug fit.I'm hoping that someday, I can persuade my cat to use this bed - even if just for her personal use at a later time; but for now, she refuses to go near it.EDIT: 2 weeks on, & she loves it! OK - so it involved a bit of bribery in terms of treats & a heat pad on low, but without continuation of such ploys, it's become her favourite sleeping place - surprisingly, even outranking her (always favourite previously) cat-tree bed. It MUST be comfy for her!

My three cat's love their new bed they faught over it all day and now have given up and all fallen asleep in it. The are nice and warm in it as it has high sides and a lovely warm fleece material.

This is the second one I’ve bought my dog (chihuahua) and she loves it, she curls up under her blanket and is in these for hours.The sides are very Sturdy and last for ever.Her last one of these lasted her 4. 1/2 years.When this one is on its last legs I will be buying her another one.I may even replace the her bed I got her for the front room to one of these.

Really lovely cat bed. I like the higher outer surround which protects the animal from any draught. My cat is half Maine Coon so a large cat, other beds have been a bit of a squeezer for him, but this one is just right size. He loves it and spends most of the day asleep! Good solid, well made bed that should last him for years.

Lovely soft bed, my cat loves it! It looks beautiful too, which is a bonus. I bought a large size and I’m glad I did, it’s just perfect for her and enough room to stretch etc. I don’t think it’s so easy to clean as there’s no zip around the cushion, so I’d have to put it in the washing machine as it is if too dirty.

This is a lovely cat bed and my cat seems to love it too but being a big lad it would have been better for him in a bigger size. The higher sides are great too, best one l could find and what is really great is that l don't think the sides will collapse as they feel quite firm which is a problem with a lot of others. I would love if the company would do a bigger size, apart from that l would recommend this product but maybe not if you have a really big cat (my cat is just over 5kg).

Had this pet bed before, for our little Jack Russell (in the kitchen where she sleeps) Seems as good as the other. I always wrap a small bit of fleece over the bottom cushion for extra padding and cleanliness. She has lots of room and the side walls make it draught free. The other lasted about three years but got a bit grungy looking. Washes well too. I did find when delivered, the way it was wrapped like an envelope had flattened a small part of the foam but not a problem, sorted itself out and looks good.

Best cat bed ever...my lovely Vogue had this as an early Christmas present (to say sorry for buying a puppy). She barely got out of it for days and her purring was so loud when using it that she woke me up! Six and a half months later...it's like new despite being used daily by my cat (and dog when she can get to it). Lovely quality, sides have remained upright and the item still looks very soft and plush. Good size, I would definitely buy one again. We love it, great value for money and arrived promptly and undamaged.
