Very pretty but quite hard to keep this plant happy
The flowers are beautiful and smell really nice (though you have to get up close to smell them). We've had 4 flowers in total even though we've had this over a month now. It's a much fussier plant to take care of so wouldn't recommend to beginners. However, the flowers are worth it. My plant had 2 branches about 6 inches tall from the soil to the tip (not including the pot) so overall a good size. The pot it came in was too small and the branches were very loose in the soil so had to repot it immediately. I was worried about the journey and repotting causing shock but it did well. Lower leaves keep going yellow and flowers are not re-growing after deadheading the spent flowers, even after buying compost and feed specifically for gardenia plants!

Much smaller than expected 7 cm above the pot ,tops have been cut off and no sign of any buds .?. Photo enlarged

Twig
At the moment (it has just arrived) it’s just a small twig in a little soil but I’m hoping it will grow after being planted in a pot. Fingers crossed😜
