Was a bit worried about the quality when order due to the price. However I'm very happy to say that the quality is great. Feels very sturdy and strong. Very similar feel to the original plastics on the pro controller. It fitted with no issues. The buttons feel the same as the original. They do not stick and feel wobbly. Would recommend this alot. Easy to put together and well worth the money.

Sooooo beautiful!! very glossy, feels better than the original nintendo plastic. A little tricky to install, KEEP YOUR SCREWS IN ORDER. I used the screws from Nintendo personally. Took around an hour as this was my first time doing a reshell

As a kid I loved the transparent playstation controllers. I was disappointed by the lack of colour options for the switch pro controller, until i found ExtremeRate’s products. I went for the crystal purple and felt so nostalgic seeing it on the controller for the first time. It was super easy to swap the old one out and put the new one on, especially with the video tutorial. The only fiddly bit is reconnecting the ribbon cable inside, but even that wasn’t bad. I will definitely be purchasing more from this store!

My 2nd eXtremeRate Switch Pro controller case, after having the EU SNES style for a while and loving the look. I purchased this emerald green version as my childhood emerald green PlayStation 1 controller was my favourite!They are a breeze to install following the amazing video guide. The only slightly fiddly part is re-attaching the ribbon cable, but there's a knack to it.This emerald green style is hard plastic, which I'm happy about. My SNES style is soft touch and one of the grips ended up with a small gouge. I’ve had to swap back to the stock grips, which thankfully look good with the grey.My only slight annoyance is the grips aren't completely flush in the top corners. I.e. near the A button and left stick there's a very slight lip. Thankfully only noticeable if I run my finger along it, but still irritating all the same. The stock Switch Pro grips are completely flush. It’s the same with both of my eXtremeRate Switch Pro controller replacements so assume it’s a manufacturing limitation.

Firstly WARNING - the screwdriver that comes with this kit stripped the screws on my controller. I watched their video tutorial and I was very careful and it just made a mess of the screw. I ended up having to drill into the screw and then get pliers to twist it out, which took almost 3 hours. By the time I'd got the grips off I didn't dare go any further. As you can see from my images, the colours are not an exact match to the Animal Crossing controller, though you probably won't have both sets of controllers next to each other to compare so they are close enough. The grips are not textured like the original grips so can get a bit slippy, but other than that fit quite nicely and look good. I really wanted to like this kit, but the nightmare I had from the screws stripping just ruined it for me and I can't use the face and back plates as I don't want to risk stripping the other screws.

This was really easy to put on. The quality is great, I love the soft touch feel of it. I done my joycons about a year ago and they’ve held up really well so I see no reason why this won’t. This was also a lot easier than doing the joycons. Find a good YouTube video to follow. Took me about 45 minutes.

I use exclusively extremerate parts for my customisation business, as they are the best quality parts on the market by far! The soft touch matte plastic is amazing to hold and makes gaming even more comfortable, and all of the screws and tools are included to make it as easy as possible to do yourself! I would recommend following online guides and taking it slow to install them yourself.

As always with eXtremeRate’s custom Nintendo Switch shells, this NES style Pro Control shell is a top notch product. Easy to install for a professional. Only concern is how much wear and tear the shell will take, as the plastics have been coated with a nice feeling soft plastic. Great product as usual, and top service from eXtremeRate as per usual. I purchased the pink version of this controller shell in December of 2019 for my daughter. It installed ok and was fine for a while, but the soft-touch plastic has degraded and gotten sticky over time the same way cheap rubber sometimes does. I have tried cleaning it with rubbing alcohol to get down to the good plastic but no luck yet. Going to try some Goo Gone on it next. I'm just irritated that I threw away the original controller parts and cannot switch it back. Would not buy again.

The shell looks really nice. I've been using it for awhile now and there's no noticeable degradation or fading. The only real issue is picking up fingerprints and grease easily but that's honestly kind of expected for a controller, I just give it an alcohol wipe down once in awhile to keep it clean.

I know, I don't use the red directional pad, but that's because the original NES controller doesn't have a red one either, it's black so I stayed with my black d-pad!It looks and feels amazing! Some people complained that it stripped their screws, not sure how they managed that unless they really don't know how to unscrew and screw stuff in or are rushing or using a power drill. You can find tons of tutorials on Youtube, including ones for this brand. Installation does take a bit of time (10-20 minutes) could be more or less depending on experience. Get ready to undo EVERY part of your controller though. But if careful and following instructions, you will blast right through this easily. Don't rush it like those others that are complaining and you won't have issues.Again, the quality feels amazing and all buttons mash perfectly, everything feels right and as it should, comes with everything you need to install (you might need tweezers for a small part inside though) overall is a great product at an affordable and respectable price.

I love that it includes two screwdrivers, and one is long enough to get into the really narrow holes! Their YouTube instruction video is fantastic too. Friendly tip; make sure to not press too hard when unscrewing, and tighten just enough so that nothing rattles and the shell feels secured. If you put too much pressure, I can definitely see the actual controller getting a screw or hole stripped if you're not cautious.I seriously wish I got their replacement buttons and did it all in one go, it looks I'll be ordering some and opening up my controller again.
