Not what I expected
This is not what I expected but I won't give it a bad review as it has its place. If you are into Macro Photography and you can use a controlled environment this might be the lens for you. I was hoping to use it for video, but it proved too difficult to use.1. You can only achieve focus when less than an inch +/- away from the subject.2. You need an enormous amount of light to properly expose. I struggled with enough light to get enough depth of field in broad daylight on a sunny day in California. For the price, if you are into Macro photography, I think this could be a fun lens. For me it was mostly unusable.

this is a very difficult lens to use
because it is totally manual,it poses problems that using macro lenses on old film cameras do not( canon FTb).the depth of field is quite small at f 2. But If I stop down the lens I cannot see the subject. old manual canon did not have this problem. Picture 1 is a fit crunch cheese puff on my computer. I used this to compare this lens with a canon fd 50 ssc macro with extender and adapter and with a 100mm ef lens. all hand held. this lens might produce a nice image too soon to tell. The second photo is a small flower in cowiche canyon. hard to get in focus. don't know if the depth of field at f16 would be better because i cannot see the subject at that f stop. #3 spider egg case on window, best of the lot. #4. hyacinth bulb. right now I'd use either of my other choices before using this one. but it's too soon to tell as of now

Great macro lens for the price
This lens allows insanely close macro photos, got it to explore the tiny world around, and it has yet to disappointTakes some getting used to on focusing, but that could likely be in part to my being new to dslr usage

Ad is a lie, you will be shipped a Sony mount lens

Smile for your closeup.
I am having so much fun with this lens. It even works with my extensions attachments. Great for what I need. I’m no expert, but it’s value seems reasonable priced.

It won't disappoint.
Strictly macro. Sturdy construction. Decent lens. You may overlook that it's a manual focus lens as well as the f-stop.
