Works on fences really well
24 hours ago my fence panels on one side of my house were really green as they don't get any sun.Mixed this 1l bottle with 4l of water in a sprayer. I focused on all the really green parts giving them a good soak, 2 or 3 times and a quick once over the other parts that were less green.99% of all the green has gone now, ready to repaint. I didnt need to scrub or anything.Only negative is the price. It is costly, and I was able to treat 9 panels just focusing on the heavy green parts. If I was soaking the whole panel I'd probably got 5-6 panels done out of 1 bottle.Very impressed with the results though!

Does what it says on the tin - even at low temperature
I cleaned 180 square metres of Indian sandstone and steps with the Lithothin stone cleaner last winter. Top marks to that product but it was damn expensive as I had a huge area and it needed to be used neat. I live in Wales so the whole lot slowly turned green between October and December. I did not relish the thought of spending a small fortune on stone cleaner again so turned to this product which could be diluted 1:10. I applied this product between Xmas and New Year as I was off work, had the time and it was dry for 3 days. It worked a treat and removed 95% of the algae. I’m confident that a reapplication to the stubborn remaining algal patches will clear these up too. Being a trained chemist, I took a gamble that the surfactant would work well, but slower, at lower temperatures and applied it at 5 degrees C with a nighttime frost. The algae had not cleared too well by the following morning but by day two things were looking good so I can confirm that this product will work below the minimum recommended temperature of 10C (albeit more slowly) so its okay to apply this product in winter providing there is no rain forecast. I will be making further use of this product as a single bottle applied with a sprayer covered ~100m sq (not the 200m sq claimed but at ~£20.00 a bottle WAY cheaper than using the stone cleaner). I was also able to liberally use this product right up to the lawn and garden boundaries and so far so good as, like it says on the tin, it has not damaged the plants that got a light dose.

Good for Indian Sandstone
Bit expensive but the only cleaner we could use for our Indian Sandstone patio. It would be cheaper to use the acid based cleaners which would kill the algae but then also alter the colour of our Sandstone. Algex did kill most of the algae but still some green bits left which will need to be treated again. I would recommend it for Indian Sandstone where acid based cleaners are not recommended.

Works well on grey Indian sandstone.
The slabs in my garden were turning green with algae as there isn't great air circulation out there. I read some positive reviews and thought I'd give this product a try. I didn't dilute it precisely, I mostly eyeballed it, and put about half the container into 5 liters of water then applied it using a portable sprayer. I gave every slab a good covering and left them to soak. The next day the slabs were no longer green. I've not even rinsed it yet but all the algae seems to be gone. The slabs still smell of the product so I assume it's still working. So overall it seems to just work on grey Indian sandstone. I'd definitely recommend it.

Did exactly what it was supposed to do
I used this on a patio made with ceramic tiles and white grout. I had been unable to use a pressure washer as it blasted the grout out.The green algae that had ruined the look of the grout completely disappeared after using the product. I applied it with a sprayer and it covered a bigger area than I had anticipated, so that is an added bonus.

The green slime has all gone!
Amazing - I sprayed a fine mist onto the patio and all the green slimey mould has disappeared. It looked amazing after just 24h. This product was recommended to me by Marshalls who supplied the patio stones we had laid 2 years ago, & after this wet winter, the patio became green & slippery. We brushed the slime off with a stiff brush & hozed it down before we started, but this may not have been necesssary. (I waited tilll it was dry before applying the diluted Algex). I also sprayed the wooden railings and garden bench & it worked on them too.
