I run these monitor lights in sync with the Govee Rope Lights around my desk, as well as some Govee Bar Lights on my right wall, and some Govee Hex Lights on my left wall, and it is a great feeling of immersion. Very easy to set up through the Govee App on your PC, and works great.All in all, these are awesome lights, and any Govee Lights that have Smart LED and Dreamview that links up to Alexa or any other smart app can link up to the Govee App, can mimic your screen, meaning you can sync up all your smart lights in your room, set them to the proper places they are in your room in regards to your monitor, for a full immersive experience.

I've been using these for a few weeks now and I absolutely love them. I was looking for a cost effective lighting system that would reflect the visuals on my screen and these are perfect. Easy to install and use and no weird malware so far! They were a little too long for my 24" monitor so I just stuck them together in the middle.Update: I'm back a few months later for another update. Now that I've had more time with them I have noticed two major flaws: the Dreamview color matching is not always accurate, no matter how much I adjust the settings/brightness/map, and this program uses an insane amount of CPU power. For smaller games, like Stardew Valley, it's totally fine to use them while you're playing, but if you're running anything beefier than a pixel game- you'll see a HUGE drop in your PCs processing power. I have a full custom built streaming PC and even so, my computer struggles to run Baldur's Gate 3 and Govee Desktop at the same time with no other applications open. The lights are still fun when watching videos and those lighter games, but I'm disappointed that the majority of my gaming library's performance suffers while using the Dreamview. I've only taken away 1 star for this, because the lights and software are still great- just not cooperative with Big Beefy Games, which is (somewhat) reasonable.

Great LED strips! Note that they don't necessarily have to be used on a TV or monitor; if you're looking for LED strips that are simply shorter than normal, these ones work great. I used them on a floor to turn it into a color-changing LED floor lamp, and the result is magnificent!

So, where to start on this.TL;DR: If you're going to buy these, have a large monitor with a very flat back. A 30 inch monitor should accommodate these OK. A 32 inch or up would be better. Installation WILL frustrate you. They are not USB powered or controlled. Watch a youtube video on how to install these first before purchase.The good: Stunningly Bright, good sound response, plenty of cable clips (which you'll need).The bad: OK adhesive but that's understandable as you're going to be repositioning the light strips SEVERAL times. Requires a wall plug rather than USB but given their brightness I get it.The ugly: A pain to make these fit on anything less than a 30 inch diagonal monitor. Do not attempt to put these on the back of modern gaming monitors, but that old flatback one will work fine. Non-trimable so you're stuck with a lot of awkward cornering and maybe even extra LED strip pieces just hanging off the edges of your monitor. The connecting cables between each strip are stiff making tacking them down difficult when they're scrunched up to hide behind the monitor if they'll fit at all.To govee, make the individual segments shorter. Have them all be the same size as the "side" pieces, nobody will notice given they're 1. on the back of a monitor and 2. bright as all get out. A few less LED segments won't hurt anyone and will make the product easier to install as the segment cables will be longer and able to corner better.So, I just spent an hour trying to get these installed on 2 separate 28inch diagonal widescreen monitors. Monitor 1 is a new gaming monitor with lots of cutouts on the back to make it look neat, but that limited, severely, where the light strips can be positioned. It literally made the 4th strip have to go on the bottom edge of the monitor rather than on the back so the selection buttons could be avoided and I couldn't run the 4th strip across the middle back as it would've overlapped the 2 side strips. 2nd monitor is a bit older with larger flat areas on the back. Still a pain to install, the cable between each segment is very stiff and gave my monitor rabbit ears on top as there was no great way to tack the cable down using the included clips so that the strips at the corners weren't peeling off due to cable tension. As the strips aren't trimmable you're stuck with trying to figure out how best to get them across the back of your monitor and hope that it all stays in place. This was a very frustrating experience, and to top it all off they aren't USB controllable. They're WIFI or in-line controllable which seems ridiculous to me, but here we are. Would I buy again? Not in this current configuration, there needs to be some design changes to make them better. If I were just installing these on the back of a 40+ inch TV and then turn on sound response, they'd be fine and they'd look really good, but on a monitor they're difficult to install and leave a lot to be desired for ease of control.

At first, I thought it was just another lighting gimmick. But after a couple of days using this GUVI DreamView light strip behind my monitor, it completely changed how I watch movies and even browse the web. The way it extends the on-screen colors beyond the screen creates this really immersive vibe — like the content is spilling into the room.It’s crazy how quickly I got used to it. Now, turning on my monitor without the backlight feels… incomplete. It became a natural part of the setup, like it always should’ve been there.Setup was quick and smooth, and one of the best parts is the separate remote. I stuck it right on my desk, and now I can switch modes or adjust brightness without digging through software or settings.Simple to install, seriously effective, and way more impactful than I expected.

Works pretty good and looks amazing. Light emitted is pretty bright so you’ll definitely get some color. Might need to look up a a video to see how the monitor sync works but other than that it’s awesome. Worth the price.
