Handy backup device
This was bought as a temporary internet backup system whilst awaiting Vodafone to reconnect my broadband. I used it with. Lebara data sim which worked fine. Although small, the WiFi coverage was ok throughout the house. I now use it in my car.

Not very fast but cheapest out there and works ok.
First some info that you might need. I wasn't able to find this info before I bought it so hopefully will help. The model number is UZ801. The version I was supplied was version 2.The wifi cannot be disabled. You can set the max users to 0 in the settings but the wifi itself is still turned on at all times, even if plugged into a computer USB port. The IP address of the modem's LAN address is 192.168.1.100. This cannot be changed. When plugged into USB it presents as an RNDIS network connection. When not plugged in, the modem presents a 2.4ghz wireless network with a max of 10 users (max users can be changed in settings)The public IP address from the network carrier can be seen in the modem settings.Worked first time with an EE sim card on a Windows 7 machine. APN info was acquired from EE automatically however you can also set 5 manual APN profiles if needed. The 4G speed was not very fast. Tested on speedtest on my Iphone SE 2020 in my attic room. Iphone got 130mbs with 25mbs upload. This dongle got 35mbps with 5mbps upload. So 25% of what the Iphone can get. The modem in my iphone is capable of MIMO 4G and multi frequency and probably a higher LTE cat than 150mbps. I doubt that this dongle can do any of that and probably locks to one 4G frequency only which will be the most congested one that most basic devices use. You can pick these up cheaper elsewhere. I think for the price compared to other models, and the fact that you get a 4G wifi router also so no need to plug into a PC, you can't really go wrong. Just don't expect to get anywhere near 150mbps unless you live alone on an Island 25 miles from land with your own 4G mast.

Exactly what I needed
I needed a dongle to give 4g to an incar multimedia system I fitted to our car. The dongle is hidden under the dash and still supplies a good 4g signal to the system.

Stopped working after a month
No signs of damage, I've always inserted and taken it out so carefully knowing how easily these things can bend and it has just died. Gutted.
