I have struggled to replace my very old nail scissors. It is so old I have no idea the brand or where it came from. In my search, I have made several disappointed purchases from drug stores. The drug store brand nail scissors seem to come with dull blades, blades don't line up perfectly to get a nice nail cut, small finger holes in the handle or squeak. This pair is pretty, has perfect sized finger openings, sharp blades, blades line up perfectly and no squeak! I was able to cut my nails in a fraction of the time drug store scissors take today. The blade is sharp enough navigate the curve of my finger nails. I ALMOST didn't need to file them afterward. MAJOR WIN! The scissors isn't quite fine enough to trim cuticles. For me that is not an issue. Why has it taken so long for me to find these scissors?!

Great scissors. I use them to trim my mustache. They are extremely sharp all the way from back to the point and will detail down to cutting one hair. Worth the money to me.

The scissors are pretty and work well to cut fingernails. And that’s about all the good I can say about them. They do not work well as advertised for cuticles, hangnails, or for cutting the nails on the toes, ingrown toe nails, or to cut the corners of the nails on the big toe. They really did a horrible hack-job on my fingernail cuticles and hangnails to the point of making them worse than before using the scissors. The blades are not thin enough to really get between the nail and the skin to remove a hangnail...they just didn’t cut them at all. As for the cuticles, maneuverability was an issue. They might cut part but not all, which leaves you kind of half done and uneven. The rings of the handle are too small to provide adequate maneuverability and grip at the angle you need to get the job done. They do not open and close smoothly, especially with the non-dominant hand. As for using these on the feet, don’t bother. I keep the nails on my toes really short and these won’t even grip the nail, but I thought I might be able to use them to ensure I had no sharp edges on the nail corners and a nice, even straight cut especially on the big toes where the corners are at odd angles and hard to reach using regular clippers. I wound up with two bloody toes on the same foot... ouch! Improvement suggestions: 1) Much larger, elongated loops on the handle design so at least two fingers fit. Better if all four fingers fit like regular scissors for complete control; 2) Thinner, sturdy blades for the hard to reach corners of the toenails, to easily groom the cuticles, and get into the crevices to remove hangnails; 3) Ensure they open and close smoothly and effortlessly. Maybe even a longer version (much longer handles) for those with reach issues. Perhaps if a professional were to do your nails for you using these they might work, but to do your own nails and for my needs, these just failed miserably. I am debating whether to return them or keep them simply for cutting the fingernails...the jury is still out.

These scissors are extremely high quality and I highly recommend them. The blade is sharp, narrow, easily goes under an ingrown toe nail and safely trims it off.

Although I have not had the chance to use it yet, I like its sleek looks, the steel quality, the perfect roundness of the ends, and the gold plating. I'm sure I will like the way it cuts my nostrils's hairs...

The Camila Solingen line of products may cost more than others on the Amazon site, but what you will discover is that the quality is worth the price. I have purchased several Camila Solingen items and was always very satisfied with the quality and workmanship. Not all "Solingen" products are of equal quality so shop carefully.

I keep buying scissors. Fancy, fairly expensive German made ones. And NONE OF THEM ARE RIGHT, including this one. Gold handles aside, the blades that you'll be snipping with just aren't as thin as the still-sharp thin set I bought 20 yrs ago. They make a sort of rubbing feel when the scissors are activated. Not a smooth movement. They'd be fine for snipping some loose skin around a cuticle. But I am not wild about them for nose hair (hubby shied away) and shaping brows.

I am thrilled with these scissors. Very, very small and precise. So glad I ordered them!
