First Sitchin experience
I have just finished reading this first part of seven part series.Indeed the content is thought provoking and convincingly written. The persuasion for Mr Sitchin's works are seemingly carefully selected. The illustrations to support his theory are all hand sketches - I was slightly disappointed that these were not actual photographs of the actual artefacts referred to in the text. I felt, that this depreciated his argument tangibly. The beginning of the book was very interesting and read as, on the most part, quite factual. You will find some very interesting theories behind how our solar system today formed it's modern structure (I won't give too much away). What you will find whilst reading through the 422 pages of this theoretical works is that it indeed tends to begin quite feasibly and wavers ever so closely to the far fetched and bizarre! Progressively unsupported by definite source of reference and tends to draw from former conclusions made previously in the book by the author himself. However, this book is undeniably fascinating and stipulates a very much alternative view on the origins of man. Indeed he almost convinces the reader that his work is factual - every last line!Excellently written and I have ambitions to obtain the complete series (Earth chronicles).I would definitely recommend this to the open minded.

fascinating
Assuming I fall in to the theorem of aliens made us, and we all like to dream. Then this story has been holing me in its grip for a few years now. I have doubts like in order for it to be true the Annunaki beings must live for thousands of yrs. However I have an open mind, I know im 98% ape I love bananas, I have the remnants of a tail, and recently developed spurs ie claws coming from my heels!! Alas Just dont like heights, no bodies perfect. Some time in future I will finish it, keep reading bit by bit. If its a fantasy its a good one. If its true then don't want to be around when the Annunaki come back, all they want is Gold and poss a lot more.

Interesting but take with a pinch of salt
I like reading this kind of stuff because it gives me new things to go off an investigate for myself. But as with all of the author's books, you have to take the material with a pinch of salt. Others have commented that the translations are not entirely accurate, are incomplete, a stretch, etc. I don't know about that but I would say some things don't make sense from a plain common sense point of view. For instance, there is zero evidence for extra terrestrials here. There may be evidence that an ancient civilisation on Earth became technically advanced. I do think there is an element of fitting facts to a theory, rather than a theory to the facts.

Thought provoking
This book about the 12th planet and the source of where the idea of God came from is totally enthralling. The book must have taken an age to research and is written in a manner that is understandable and easy to read. Yes the book was written an age ago but this does not deter from the facts in it. This book made me think of modern religion in a completely different way. You may not agree with his arguments but they are food for thought at the very least. Cannot wait to read his next installment of the "story".

An out of this world theory
I now know more about ancient Sumeria than I thought I ever would. It's a thoroughly thought out theory of the creation of the universe and our place in it and how we were created by the Annunaki.A great read for ancient alien enthusiasts or for the reader who needs to ponder the information presented.Keep your eyes to the skies.

The 12th Planet

Nice. Too bad ur not visited by FBi or CIA. Could have become a thriller.

A myth killer
This is our history. In this book it’s possible to understand a lot of things had as “holy”, and how the human race was created and is still controlled by beliefs imposed - even to this day, by all types of myth and religion. It’s a must read for those who don’t stop seeking for answers.
