I got this to put over my door and deck that face east and are in the direct sun. There is usually 20+ degree difference between the temperature in the shade and the temperature on that deck. In our recent extreme heat, the temperature was 125+ in the sun, 104 in the shade. Under a 40% sunshade in the direct sun, it was 119. The deck was 103.

This was a great add to the sunny side of a pop up. Even though there was a strong wind, it didn’t cause a problem.

Simple but well made, this shade cloth perfectly covered the weird wood thing in our guardan that doesn't have a roof.
