When looking for a bagel slicer, I was surprised to find out just how many types are avaliable now - guillotine types, bread slicer/cutter types, plus the old originals. Then, of course, there was deciding on getting it in plastic, bamboo, metal or wood and from which vendor. I decided on the Acacia bagel cutter because it came from a small American business, and both the vendor and product got great reviews. I was not disappointed. It's a lovely addition to my kitchen and I can tell this is going to last me for decades. It's crafted, not junk. And delivery reminded me of Amazon in the old days - fast, efficient, and arriving in great shape.

Not only is this made of beautiful acacia wood, which looks great in my kitchen, but it works wonderfully! I especially love that it’s adjustable to fit different sized bagels and even English muffins. Great design -I’m thrilled with my purchase!

Doesn't hold larger bagels and wood shifts like it isn't put together we'll.Would not purchase again.

Flimsy and dangerous. Video shows inventor cutting a “pre-sliced” bagel and for good reason. This thing moves all over the place and the knife slices into the wood. Very difficult to use. Threw in the trash.

Great workmanship, beautiful wood, however there needs to be a spacer provided to hold english muffins in place for slicing-having to hold with your fingers is unsafe
